Oh, what a year this has turned out to be! Starting college in the fall, and I've got the opportunity to finally bring Snow out and have some fun with him at this year's Texas Furry Fiesta! I'm so excited for what this year is going to bring me!

To go into a bit more detail, I do have to say that the previous year was insane in a lot of ways, a lot of good, some bad, but all of it added up to be a fantastic year! Earlier in 2015, I came across the news that I would be getting a fursuit of Snow, something that I honestly only dreamed of. I never imagined that it would be something that I would ever receive. When October came around, I was prepared for the best week of my entire life, with the day of delivery of my fluffy friend only a few days away. Around that time, my mood dropped a bit. My mother came home and informed us that she had a talk with her doctor, and during her checkup discovered an abnormality. She had a growth forming in her thyroid that was potentially cancerous. Unsure of what to do, I simply couldn't sleep. It was a really difficult week, being so excited about something I had always dreamed of getting, only to find out that my Mom was possibly forming cancer in her throat? It was unbearable. (She will be ok for now, but her doctors are going to be keeping a close eye on her as things develop.)

In the end, I received my suit, and despite my sadness, I still had the happiest day of my entire life so far. Seeing his goofy face every time I walk into my room brings me so much joy, its ridiculous. I can't wait to share that happiness with the great folks at Texas Furry Fiesta this year! I've had other things happen as well. Around late November, I received news that I was accepted into the college I've wanted to go to since I was a little kid! I'm SUPER excited! As painful as it is to be the typical high schooler, I'm ready to leave high school. I do know that college is tough, and I'm going to be working very hard. But I feel even more inspired to work harder by knowing that I will be going to the place that is going to provide me with the skills I need to actually go somewhere with my life, if that makes sense.

A problem I have been dealing with has been my wound that I mentioned in a previous journal. For the longest time, I had trouble trying to get it healed up after having it for a year and a half AFTER the surgery itself. For those who missed it, my doctor did not do a good job of closing my wound up. I ended up on a wound vac and the home health service that was taking care of me bailed before the wound fully healed all the way. I'm very happy to announce that after a couple of months at the wound care center and many, many doctor's visits, I am finally healed. Yet another life difficulty that I can finally say I've conquered!

Life works in mysterious ways. So mysterious in fact that my life decided to let my happiness continue from after receiving my suit. On the night of October 21, one of my best friends in the world had a wonderfully adorable chat with me that turned into the realization that there may be something more going on. We let things settle for a bit and, realizing that there really was a connection, we decided to follow through with us coming together as a couple. I went for many, many years without having another person to love in my life after a very bitter end to a previous relationship. I also believed that the chance of me finding someone that I could share feelings with and not be judged by the way I looked was impossible. That was not true. I am happy to say now that we are close to reaching our 3 month anniversary, and I couldn't be happier. I only wish that I had seen before that the person I had been looking for was in front of me the entire time. (Love you, Clawy!)

The new relationship has provided me with the opportunity to develop my character more in a lot of ways! One of my biggest problems was finding a certain "position in the world" for Snow. For the longest time, I've felt confident about his design, but I always felt like there was something missing from him. With the help of a couple of really good friends, I found inspiration for creating a basic personality for him. If you've stuck with me for awhile, I've always put some silliness into him. He's always just been super outgoing and zany, a little bit blushy, and always ready for adventure. I think it fits perfectly with what I want him to be.

With Clawy and I being in a relationship, I figured that since we are both going to be spending a lot of time together I may as well make it to where our characters will be. For a bit now, I've sent out some random toony tweets and stuff hinting at what he is now (unofficially). I'm making Snow Clawy's assistant. If you don't know Clawy (AKA TaijeyTheCat), she's an evil cat who's out to take over the world, and Snow is her assistant and scientist, helping with her schemes by proposing ideas and providing new forms of high-tech weaponry and devices to add to her arsenal. He's still got the same upbeat and fun personality as he previously had, but with a more "mad scientist" twist! For the curious, you may be wondering if he is evil himself because he's working with a villain. But is that really the case? Was he just hired? Or does he just have a huge crush on this conniving kitty? The answer to the question of his evil-ness is to be determined by you! Have fun! Additionally, I added some changes to him! Snow now has an official outfit! He now brandishes a super-not-nerdy red Hawaiian t-shirt and cargo pants for the sake of him not walking around naked all of the time XD (And for the sake of gags involving that same subject). I have a brand new ref sheet that I'm collaborating on with my best friends, and it's going to look AWESOME! I can't wait to show off the finished product!

As for Snow, a lot of you will be able to meet him at this year's Texas Furry Fiesta. I will be running around EVERYWHERE, and I swear I will try to meet every one of you guys if I can! Just look for a goofy fox in a Hawaiian shirt running around with an evil cat and getting involved in random shenanigans! I can't wait to meet all of you! <3 I really can't wait to see how his new "job position" develops over the year!
