Hello loves. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with Red Bubble?
If you are, could you help me understand something? It seems some artists claimed that Red Bubble deletes their account under false claims if your designs sells very well. They also say that Red Bubble won't pay you in that scenario.
I also see lots of customer complaints of quality and print issues as well as charges that go through but delivery failed.
Could anyone shed some personal light on the bad press?

Honestly I've have no problem with Red Bubble aside from the fact it takes like 3 weeks to get to the UK. But, the cut you get from sales is actually pretty disgusting too

I know the cut is pretty abyssmal so you really do need to sell in volumes to make something out of it. I'm just scared that if by some miracle I make several designs that sell well then I'll be victim to a scam - where they delete your account but still sell your designs, on top of not paying you the backlog.

I've honestly never heard of that scam before? I'd look more into it via review sites and stuff to see if its true.

That's the problem - read many positive and many negatives on both the artist and buyer side. Very wary now and it doesn't help I can't find a phone number for Red Bubble.

Red bubble is hopeless with being contacted. https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.redbubble.com is the only site I know that you can actually get 'in contact' with them. And by that I mean if you complain they copy and paste an apology and try to sort things out from there.

Yea - was reading that specific page when I was doing my homework on Red Bubble. :/ This is looking to be more and more of a wash if you are a popular artist. I'm wondering if =maybe= since I am an unknown I wouldn't be making the volume in which the dubious actions happen.

Like the seller gets like 10% and red bubble gets 90%? Or it depends on what is being sold

I think it's more 15% to 20%. I honestly don't know. But its still shit. It's a site that has its ups and downs. It is and isn't worth it at the same time.

It seems there is a base price and you can set how much you want to make as a percentage. The base price might also shift depending on where the item is shipping to. The money you get doesn't seem as set in stone as other places. Getting more and more of a bad feeling from this company which bums me out. Had wanted to make some fanart to print and wear for myself and maybe sell.

I think Ferenta used red bubble to make a turian pin up calender. From what iv heard the quality is decent.

That's the thing I'm scared of - some people say quality good, sometimes not. Hoping to find more reliable sources of review. I wonder if Feranta could be approached to get her input.
