How I came up with Lave

I do not have much for my fursona so far except for his appearance and how he came to be from my head. So I decided to make a journal entry for it!
I have struggled with my gender identity this past year. Never once have I felt "non-female" (I guess) but at times I felt male but mostly, I was confused. A little bit ago I came out as bigender. It was a big weird step for me. My parents didn't necessarily care, my mother tried too hard at it I think. There was still a part of me that was uncomfortable with exercising my gender physically so I just make myself appear female and I say I'm female on questionnaires or profiles and things like that. Lave is just me but as a boy. I can use him as an outlet for me boy tendencies and feelings. Hence his colors. His ears are blue because he is a boy, the insides of his ears are pink because I'm a "girl", and he's purple all over because we're technically one person together, if that makes sense?? I have been thinking about his character and personality a bit and I have yet to come to a conclusion if I should make him his own person or just make him, well, me! I will probably update it when ever I can.
