Hello Everyone!!
Thank you to all the new watchers! I'm very glad you enjoy the work I'm offering enough to maybe catch a glimpse of some more. And there will be more! Got some Transformation sequences in the works if you're into that, several sketches I want to take further and a whole mess of ideas that I hope you'll all enjoy.
To all of you now, not just the new watchers, If I could have a moment of your time to give me some opinions of your own.
The questions are a little disjointed from the topic of 'Art' as we're used to on this site, but bear with me. You don't have to answer all of them, and you can provide as much detail as you'd like but please be honest. This will lead to some big leaps in quality of practice, and I hope I can get your gears turning at the same time!
Here we go:
1. How old are you?
2. did you have a specific place that was your favourite place to be when you were growing up?
3. Do you spend much of your leisure time outdoors?
4. How often often do you go outside just for the sake of it?
5. Do you prefer urban walks, or through the woods/hills/fields whatever? why?
6. Do you have any apprehension about going into nature?
7. What experiences would you search for on a nature walk?
8. What do you think you can learn from nature?
Thank you very much!
PS. I'd also love it if you'd forward this to anyone interested. The more info the better. ta x

Since you're welsh too do you have any specific favourite place outdoors? Like Bute park, brecon beacons or what have you?
-My current age is 18 years
2. did you have a specific place that was your favourite place to be when you were growing up?
-My bedroom, The sanctuary of my pillows and blankets are all I want growing up
3. Do you spend much of your leisure time outdoors?
-Here and there but yes I do
4. How often often do you go outside just for the sake of it?
-To many times I'm afraid XD
5. Do you prefer urban walks, or through the woods/hills/fields whatever? why?
-Around my house counts?
6. Do you have any apprehension about going into nature?
-nope, nature is the natural beauty of life and its ecosystem
7. What experiences would you search for on a nature walk?
-A Mate......I mean looking for some awesome rocks for my collection....Magma rocks are awesome!
8. What do you think you can learn from nature?
- the ecosystem is still a mystery to me, but when I comes to learning stuff from others or nature it self, its truly fasinating
2. Not really
3. Occasionally
4. Not too often, recently.
5. Urban walks are awesome, but I prefer hikes and nature trails
6. Not one bit
7. Just being there
8. Hopefully some sort of serenity or at least finding fleeting solace
deep bro.
22 years sexy
2. did you have a specific place that was your favourite place to be when you were growing up?
I guess at friends' houses
3. Do you spend much of your leisure time outdoors?
Not really unless I'm at the beach
4. How often often do you go outside just for the sake of it?
Every once in a while its nice to relax on the deck and watch the birds and such. Or if I'm out hunting/fishing with friends
5. Do you prefer urban walks, or through the woods/hills/fields whatever? why?
Can't say I'm a fan of cities so I'd rather enjoy nature walks, they're much prettier and more relaxing then concrete jungles. I guess Id say woods since that's most of what everything is out here. I'd like to explore the swamps someday if I could find someone with a small enough boat for it.
6. Do you have any apprehension about going into nature?
Only really the swamp areas around here since snakes and mosquitos thrive there and I'd rather not lug my shotgun around a swamp or get bitten by a water moccasin but I could be convinced to if there was a good enough reason. Also fuck spiderwebs they're always at face level and you walk into dozens of them through the course of a summer. Depending on which part of the state you're in there are alligators so that's kinda sketchy as well.
7. What experiences would you search for on a nature walk?
I guess cool animals, nature cuddles, sex in the woods, and maybe some waterfalls. Just nice relaxing stuff for the most part. I guess I'd also like to experience more hunting type stuff it's always interesting to me and it can be quite exciting at times.
8. What do you think you can learn from nature?
I can learn how to make dinner out of it and just see how everything in the ecosystem reacts with each other.
2. I had two favorite places when i was growing up. one was at my grandparents' house, there was a huge fallen tree in a nearby field, and it made a great place to climb and play pretend. my second favorite would be home with mom 'cause I didn't get to see her as much back then ^_^
3. I love nature, but I don't get out much anymore unless it's a quick walk around the neighborhood
4. I will usually go for a walk anywhere from one to three times a week depending on weather and stuffs
5. I would much rather go walking through a nature trail than urban walks, but I've been stuck with the urban ones for a little while XD
6. never, I feel at home on nature trails and in the woods. I'm more scared of getting mugged by a human than I am of getting bitten by a snake or something
7. I love to take in all sights and the sounds. Everything is so much more beautiful when you're away from the city, the birds in the trees, all the colors, small animals playing in the leaves, it's all just so awesome ^_^
8. Nature usually helps me learn to relax and not worry about things that don't matter in the long run. I learn not to overthink certain things and take things as they come. ya know, zen stuff XD
(red&black for life lol)
2. my grandma's house
3. In the summer I bike a lot
4. None
5. Woods, much more peaceful
6. no
7. see cool shit
8. science
2. At my house, probably.
3. Not really.
4. Probably not nearly as often as I should
5. I can't really say that I have a preference. Walking through an urban area would be a lot closer to home, given the fact that I grew up in NY, but walking in the woods/hills/etc. would be a lot prettier and more peaceful. It depends where I'm walking, I guess. Some places are safer than others.
6. Not really, but it depends where/when I'm walking. Like I said, some places are safer than others.
7. Being able to relax and not have to think about problems.
8. How amazing and beautiful pure, unadulterated nature truly is. #deep
2. Flagstaff, AZ (mountains, forests, snowy)
3. I used to but not so much anymore.
4. Not very often because its too hot here and not much to look at.
5. I prefer walks through the forest or mountain trails. Walking in a forest or hiking mountain trails is really beautiful scenery with a lot of neat things to look at and fresh air, I love it, I feel at peace.
6. My only apprehension of going out to nature is if its a desert environment, which sadly I am right now. If I was in a place like I used to, mountainous and foresty, I'd have no apprehension.
7. The fresh air, being around natural plant life and hearing birds and animals, feeling content in a quiet walk in nature
8. How gorgeous and how precious the natural world is, and how its worth protecting
2. Anywhere my dad was; I didn't grow up with him around, so whenever I got to see him, it was always really exciting, whether it was cliff jumping or just taping in the car.
3. Yeah, staying in the same place too long can be maddening.
4. About daily, I'd say.
5. Either is great, really. I love cities and all the diversity they entail , but nature can be very therapeutic.
6. Not really, I figure it's unlikely I'll get hurt.
7. New insight or clarity into my life or the world at large.
8. I think there's always something to learn, though it's typically your own interpretation. Nature is a mirror into one's self.
2. When I was younger grandad and I would go for these drives after dinner up the real country "roads" which were covered in grass. There was this secluded area surrounded by dense forest with two big mountains at the far back. The further you went in the less path there was so grandad wouldn't go too far in, but I'd go in looking for frogs like a weirdo. I always loved it because even though it was a large area, it still felt small because of all the large trees and the mountains.
3. Used to, not not so much now since I'm always cold when I go out. I'm more willing to go for walks during the warmer days though. It also varies, living near town makes it all samey , whereas the country just doesn't seem to lose appeal for me - maybe because it changes with the season , whereas buildings don't really change ,idk
4. I'll go out the back to see the cats and such and chill for a bit to relax, that would be a daily basis thing , or i'll hover around town for a bit after college just because I want to stretch my legs a bit , so depends when college is on I3
5. I prefer forest walks , countryside stuff in general to urban walks , I pretty much explained why in an earlier answer
6. Only about coming across Slender Man when I'm out walking in the woods but otherwise nah - It's super peaceful and quiet usually , perfect place for hiding a dead bo- ONTO THE NEXT QUESTION
7. If I can find wildlife around I'd be super happy, came across a few hedgehogs and foxes over the years and it's just awesome to see them doing their own thing ^^
8. Alot , and in different areas. As an artist I learn alot of technical stuff , like how dark and dense forests typically are compared to how I've seen them normally illustrated. Plenty of variety with plants etc (yay photoshop brushes) but as I walk around I'll usually think things to myself and get all spiritual and shit and usually solve a personal issue or two along the way. And echoing the usual admiration of nature itself and why it should be preserved and why are we killing it yadda yadda -BURP-
1. How old are you? DOB May 16 1992
2. did you have a specific place that was your favourite place to be when you were growing up? Martina Franca, Italy, or Roanoke, Virginia. Roanoke was the more beautiful of the two.
3. Do you spend much of your leisure time outdoors? Summer: Fishing. Alot. Drinking on boats. Playing with my GSD.
Winter: You know nothing Dan Snow.
4. How often often do you go outside just for the sake of it? Never. Unless I'm captaining the boat to the bar. THAT is fun, though. Unbridled wind and spray on our face, buzzed and full of beer and good food.
5. Do you prefer urban walks, or through the woods/hills/fields whatever? why? Urban. I've lived close by cities almost my entire life. Spent a decade right next to Indianapolis. I love the cities. I love the architecture. I love to marvel at what humans can actually do, inspired by money and a vision. We can be beautiful creatures, if only in our designs.
6. Do you have any apprehension about going into nature? Not a bit. I mentioned previously that I grew up around cities. That never meant IN them. Most of my time has been on the border of metro and rural. Honestly, I like it out here in this frozen oddworld of BFE Minnesota... If it weren't literally frozen 5 months of the year. I love being away from my own species, wandering the odd compilations of star-dust we call nature.
7. What experiences would you search for on a nature walk? Removal from other people. Nicotine, either a cigar or a pipe. The physical dissonance that alcohol lends me. Just to disconnect from all the financial and life concerns of my life. Let it fly away as my legs move on without impetus of my own.
8. What do you think you can learn from nature? Only more of what I yet have. It's mechanical. The observation that the natural order mirrors human behavior comes to all of us. That means nature is no more or less ourselves. We come. We see. We modify all until it suits our interests. And it's not at all different from the behavior of species like Aligators or horses. Adapt. Expand. Consume. Persist, die or evolve.
