Bolt

After reading a lot of positive comments about Disney's latest animated 3D-movie "Bolt", I decided to finally give it a try and see it for myself on DVD.
Considering the fact that this movie was not produced by Pixar but instead by Disney, I was a little reluctant at first as the Disney Studios have recently had the habit of creating rather awkward and uninspired stuff like "Meet the Robinsons" or "Chicken Little"; both of which managed to make me yawn constantly while watching them. >_>
Fortunately, "Bolt" came as a bit of a positive surprise here: It only took a couple of minutes before I realized that I actually liked this movie - a lot.
In my opinion it's pretty much the first Disney-produced 3D-movie that is well worth seeing as it features many of those aspects that most of the recent Disney-3d-movies seemed to lack in one way or another: really likeable characters, a good plot, nice music and lots of witty scenes. Definitely one of my favorite animated movies of recent times along with Pixar's "Ratatouille" and "WALL-E". ^^
Like mentioned above, especially the character-design and the way the characters interact with each other is why I really liked it that much. My only hope is that "Bolt" won't remain the only good film of this type by them - what about a second Bolt-movie at some point? I'd definitely watch that one. ;D

BTW: If someone is interested, my favourite animated movie is Kung Fu Panda, I nearly pissed myself by laughing when I´ve seen it!!
I loved the voice of the cat, if only because it was a carbon copy of the skunk from "over the hedge", voice actor included!
And they really seemed keen on showing off their particle rendering. I swear; the opening scene where there's this blob of smoke and one of the bad guys' helicopters comes through, my jaw went down hard.
The hamster was the best.
"You kidding? This is the best day of my life." ^^
The girl I went and saw it with looooooooved it. XD
So, what was your oppinion about the movie, if you say you had a different reaction? :3
