Hi hi hi~

Folks that might get this journal are probably by some measure bird watchers, peeking at this Magpie's submissions of commissioned art as well as personal drawings, commissions, and gifts! While I know a lot of folks are probably mostly watching this profile for the art I commission and upload, I do also appreciate that you've stuck around and followed along with me as I endeavor to improve and expand upon my own artistic ability. These past couple months have been tremendously encouraging as a learning experience with marked progress and I'm pretty excited about how far I've come.

So excited, in fact, that I would like to share some of that with you folks! I'm in the process of working on my fourth commission I've received (how exciting!) but afterward, I've also basically finished up the gift pieces I'd had in mind for my friends--and thought it might be fun and interesting to offer gift art to you!

For anyone who is interested in this bird's draws, I will do some freebie gift pieces--at least two, I think, but if I get on a roll who knows? I may work my way through a whole bunch of them! While I'll disclaimer that these are generally going to be free-form / winging it, I'll pretty likely go the full length of coloring + lighting and shading each piece, etc. (though probably not tackling any backgrounds, at least in this batch.) I'd also note that I would prefer to do drawings for folks I have not already drawn for, partly to help make sure that new folks get stuff. Maybe we'll even make some new friendships along the way--how exciting!

The details~
1) These are freebies, though if someone would like to send tips I accept them through http://cash.me/$oneflymagpie/ ; as this is a big hobby for me, I put any money I get from art back towards my drawing adventures (getting reference books, software, etc.)
2) I will intermittently stream while drawing, so if you'd like to follow along and peek too, that will be at https://picarto.tv/oneflymagpie
3) If you'd like to potentially receive a drawing from me, leave a reply to this journal with either a character ref or a link to a good description of your character; for bonus points, you can also share what your favorite kind of bird is. Note that I will probably stick to drawing for people I haven't drawn anything for yet.
4) These are likely going to be primarily single character pinups, though if several of you conspire to get something with your characters hanging out together I might tackle that too. You can note if you'd prefer your character to be clothed or naked, though I reserve that I may opt to toss some undies on you anyway, depending. u<u
5) Most of the common sense / general politeness and art etiquette terms apply: please don't turn around and sell something I draw, please credit me where you might post pieces, please be polite, etc.
6) I will probably not get to all of these, but I will try--and ones that don't get scooped up initially I may tackle as practice later on down the line. I appreciate folks being patient with a bird and hope that this mostly serves as a fun and enjoyable experience for us all. u<u
