I thought it was time to bore you all with another update journal type thing. So here's a few things that are on my mind right now, on the off chance that anyone is interested...

Art and Writing

Things are still going slow on this front, but gradually improving. I have been getting into the habit of working on my art and writing every day, doing at least a little bit. And I've been keeping to that. Well, except for yesterday, but I was ill (and am still recovering right now but doing a lot better) so that couldn't he helped. I am hoping to have a new pic ready to post very soon.

As I get better, I'm going to try and focus less and less on starting new stuff and more and more on finishing stuff. I'll still work on brand new stuff here and there, but I have a hell of a lot of stuff on my plate that needs finishing, commissions, stories, comics, art, so I want to try and put the majority of my art time into getting them done.

Of course, there is an exception to this, a certain event coming up I will be working on some new stuff for...


Hypno Bear Week

Yes, this year's Hypno Bear Week is on the horizon. As far as I know, Talisment hasn't yet set a date for it, but it should be at the end of February. But I've already got a number of ideas for it. I seem to be doing my usual thing of getting too ambitious and coming up with ideas for a bunch of stuff that I'll not manage to get done in time and either have to abandon or finish late...

That said, I have tentatively made a start on writing some stories for the event, so I'm giving myself plenty of time to get stuff done. We'll have to see how well I do over the coming month. I am hoping to have recovered enough on the art front by then to do some streaming during the week itself, but I can't promise anything.


Over Time

Damn, I really want to read Kyell Gold's new book 'Over Time', the fifth and final book in his 'Dev and Lee' series, which I love (one of my unfinished things I need to get done is some Dev and Lee fan art). I've been waiting for it for more than a year. But unfortunately, I couldn't afford to order it, especially with the international postage. But as far as I know, the ebook version is due to be released on Monday, and I will be able to afford that, so will be buying and reading it then and I am looking forward to it. I may very well write some form of review journal for it when I'm done.

My anticipation has only been increased by my recent discovery that the first chapter has been posted here on FA as a preview. I've already read it several times. It contains many big spoilers for the previous book 'Uncovered' so don't read it if you haven't read that yet, but anyone who might be interested, it can be found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18632111/
