Is MrPerson mailing you over a quarter kilo of fine European chocolate, 70% cocoa and up.
Now I need to figure out where to hide it so I don't eat it all immediately....

MMmm-hmmmmm, trust mice with food, particularly sweets. I do know Wynne very well, you realize, so I'm kinda familiar with you murine types.

Make it a kind of Advent Ester Hunt. Hide block or bricks (or however it's separated) in areas that you won't be going for a while. Stick some with the Easter decorations, that should keep it safe until April. Doing yard work this year, hide some around the mower or yard tools; it'll be a good summer treat. And of course stashing some with the Halloween and Christmas decorations will make for a nice end of the year call back.

If it isn't already, section it into your preferred portion size and secure them in labeled wrappers or containers. Basically, have a system that lets you ration it out.

The trick is to simply not bring a whole bar into the room with you. Take with you what you're gonna eat, make it so you have to get up and to into the farthest reaches of the kitchen to get more. :D

Separate it into single serve portions. Rewrap in plastic. Freeze them into individual blocks of ice. You basically have to plan about 24 hours in advance if you want to eat one.

Hide it under a large piece of furniture that's been stationary for years; I guarantee that the temptation will go away when you retrieve it.

... I am horribly tempted to point you at a local establishment that does online orders. Place called Chutters - and it's home to the world's longest candy counter. It's basically sweets heaven. And horrible for your wallet. xD

I've been there.
Amazing selection. Lots of gummy varieties and some really hard to find old brands (ex. Idaho Spud), smaller amount of high end and import chocolate though.

If you want to save it Brest it down into smaller portions, wrap them up and put them in the freezer.
It's not foolproof, but you can limit yourself to one serving and ideally you'll be waiting for it to thaw a bit before eating

And how do you make sure the greedy ...... from the TSA/DOHS do not confiscate it ( iirc shipping food from the EU to the US is a nono )

With girl scout cookies, I hide them in the supply closet where my vacuum and such reside (Since i hate using it, I avoid it like the plague, until my weakness for thin mints over takes me)
