I Need Advice
So, my roommate's rabbit knocked a glass of water onto my computer last week and it fried my motherboard. My computer was in great condition before that happened, and so I asked her to pay for the cost of transferring my data off that hard drive and onto an external, but she refuses. I was originally going to ask her to pay for half of that cost and the cost for a new computer combined, which would be about $200, but I have a soft heart...
The cost of the data transfer is $65, and I want her to cover the $20 it took to discover that the motherboard was fried. I honestly wasn't going to ask her to pay much if she offered to help with the costs, but she was just like "Oh that's unfortunate," and walked away.
My question is, what can I do to convince her to help me with these costs? I'm unemployed due to a disability but the county hasn't given me disability pay in 6 months since I broke my foot. My roommate, on the other hand, has a salary job where she makes $36,000 a year... I think asking her to pay $85 for something her rabbit did is more than reasonable, especially considering I have to spend $300 of money that I don't even have right now to buy a new computer because of what happened.
Any help would be appriciated!

That's a no-brainer task that anyone could do for free.
