I met Kevin. I wouldn't wish him on a troll. I was sorry to hear that you were saddled with him for so long. Maybe it would comfort Andrew to consider how Frodo lost a finger ridding himself of The One Ring. And how very much Mr Frodo owed to his Sam for getting him through the whole ordeal. Granted, Kevin is a bit... big to be a Gollum, but re-framing the situation in more appealing terms is one way to help get over a horrible event.
