Bleh. No FAU2016 for me.

So sad that I won't be able to go to FAU this year because it's in another state. It was going to be squeaky anyways this year if I was as I had been able to go. It's sad for me because I had been going to the convention since its start way back when the convention itself started.
oh well. It was nice while it lasted with going. I'm going to miss the FAU family, as it was fun.

Moving to a new state is always a hard choice, but... unfortunately, finding alternative hotels in New Jersey that were closer to airport, food and with better accessibility were near impossible. I had multiple headhunters looking, and we scoured some 100+ hotels... but couldn't find anything that worked.

It also came during a year where I'm doing student teaching and making no money unless I do a few things. It would've just been a day trip if still in Jersey, the trip to that part of VA tends to have a number of tolls between home and there that I can't do this year. I'm just sad that I'm going to miss it this year and until my job situation's different (hoping to be hired at the end of student teaching), I am just not sure if I'll be able to make it. That's what's mainly making me sad as this was my main go-to con. Ah wells, maybe next year. I'm going to miss everyone.
