How do I friends?

So I've recently discovered that putting all your eggs in one friendship basket is a pretty dumb move. Problem is, I'm kinda shitty at making friends, seeing how I'm a stay at home mommy and don't really see people. I'm not amazingly good at approaching people online, even though I'm not at all shy about it in person. I dunno if a journal really makes a difference, but hey, maybe someone reads these things?
I'd also really love to make more artist friends to swap techniques and do collabs maybe?
I'll probably find this journal terribly embarrassing later and delete it >>
But until I do.... Here's a bit about me?
I'm an artist with a degree in video game design and lots of debt to show for it. I'd like to eventually work as a texture artist or illustrator of some kind. For now I am a stay at home mother, which makes me feel old to say, but I am 29.
I love video games, I am hit or miss about playing them because art and parenthood eat up a lot of time. I poof a lot because of these things.
The only thing I love more than video games and art are board games. I'm a bit obsessed. I have a huge glass-front cabinet full to the top with them. My current favorites are Pandemic, Sheriff of Nottingham, Splendor, and Zombicide. I've also got a couple new ones I'm eager to play.
I'm excited to get into model painting (like figurines like Warhammer and Zombicide).
I love role-playing games, though kids make it near impossible to play them. I particularly like Warhammer 40k.
On the shorter side of average height. Chubby. I like my face I guess? Been losing weight with a relatively strict program.
Kinda sassy, not really cutesy, but I try to be a genuinely nice person.
I'm poly, so I'm married but can also date should I wish to. I generally only do this seriously if I feel like the person I'm with could potentially become a permanent part of my life. Really just looking for friends right now.
My life is really up and down right now, so there's that too. I can't promise I'll be SO BOUNCY OMG or anything. Just seeing if there might be people out there with common interest that might exist in this fandom.

I'm an artist myself dabbling in the shallow end of the pool of 3D computer rendering, but my main specialty is story-telling and writing stories. Sixteen or so years experience garnered over twenty-eight years of life.
Currently video games occupy much of my free time while not looking for work.
I enjoy board games, but I usually stick with games I already know how to play unless somebody teaches me which makes it more fun for me than needing to stop every thirty seconds or so to double-check rules which kills the pacing and makes it more boring than it should be.
I like making models; things like Gundam, Legos, or the Metal Earths. Always have since before I can remember and it was something my folks encouraged growing up to help foster my creativity which I'm sure led to my love of story writing in some manner.
Role playing games are a joy for me, be it D&D or getting into a forum based role play or finding that little corner of a MMO to do some on the spot RP.
I'm leaning more towards the taller lanky side; something I get from my mom's side of the family. It's also where I get that infuriating metabolism that keeps me from being at a healthy weight no matter how much, or how poorly, I eat.
I'm usually more along the lines of highly sarcastic than anything, but it's just how I am rather than out of any desire to be spiteful, though you can definitely tell a difference if I feel you've done something truly irksome and have become deserving of my ire. Otherwise I try to be as nice a person as I can, bad jokes notwithstanding.
Other than that, you'd have to ask something specific about me if there's anything else your curious about. I try to not keep secrets as it makes it easier in the long run.
Haha, I've got a tall friend like that. He'll eat 2-3 chipotle/qdoba burritos in one sitting. I'll get a chicken salad. Guess who gains weight? Not him...
And, yeah. It's frustrating for both sides. "Please eat more. I don't like eating around you because you make me feel guilty and that I need to give you my food." "I'd like that, but if I ate anymore I'd start throwing it up. I'm not unhealthy, it's just that I can't gain weight and I need to eat this much or I'll get even skinnier."
I haven't done anything in 3D in awhile. I probably should get back into it again if I want to work in the field v.v
