WoW is more cartoony High fantasy. I love the artwork they do. It can be fun, but usually the major part of the game is just leveling up and doing thousands of quest. Most of the reward seems to be making progress and exploration. Late game is joining up with others to do raids or PVP.
ESO has a more realistic Lower Fantasy art style. The quest ive done are pretty fun. Fighting is a bit more skilled based though as certain classes rely on using timed blocks and dodging rather than WoW where you can sometimes just stand in fire and win if youre spec'd right.
I think they're fun, but ive watched others play it and its not everyones cup of tea.
I did consider going Vampire just because the look. I get a tad jealous when I see vampire khajiit and their cool red eyes. Maybe if I make a new character....
Its kinda odd seeing your first character years later after all the patches, because you remember how they USED to play until they changed things around. The worst is when patches make them awful.
I'm pretty sure my first character is long gone but it's weird coming back to my main class after all of the updates and changes. especially when it comes to the other druid forms
WoD was actually one of my favorites although they did sorta seem to skimp out at the end and just ended it suddenly instead of the build up i expected. Im actually intentionally trying to avoid Legion so its all a surprise when I get it.
As for ESO, I cheated and got a used copy for counsel so it was like only 10 bucks. Handles about the same although community is a bit limited since you can't just type conversations.
I get bored quickly with Goblins just because the starter area isn't really one of my favorites, which is surprising. You'd think a city with a bunch of goblins would be amazing. Then Durotar seemed to drag on. I think I was LVL 30 before I finally got to someplace I enjoyed and that didnt feel like I was walking across the desert to hand in quest.
I used to play on other servers here and there to see what they're like, but someone suggested Wyrmrest Accord. The community there seems to be more active but I suspect its because its an RP server. Its nice because even if you don't RP, you meet some pretty nice players. I was partial to PVP servers because I liked joining raids on random cities, but with cross realm you can still find some groups and attack cities. So most of what I do is on Wyrmrest Accord now.

And always gotta go werewolf. Who else will maim those stuck up vamps? :3
I do have an ESO account but I haven't touched it in a few months now.
I love it though. <3

Other than that, the starter zone sucks and takes too long.
What is this.
Though I do have a soft spot for trolls.
