Still bad?

This was a mess too
Are you still evil by nature if you have a grim outlook on the world and your peers while abiding a strict moral code? Does having a moral code just cover up your evil intentions? I haven't time to think it over. Curious none-the-less, I guess.
Lyrics from their bandcamp: https://woodenhatrecords.bandcamp.c.....m/time-for-tea
Baby, I want you to know
You are all I wanna see
Baby, you'll never feel low
If you tag along with me
Oh wwww when... you're near me
I see the world more clearly
Hold me and I'll hold you too
I want to spend my time with you.
Baby, I want you to know
You are all I wanna see
Baby, you'll never feel low
If you tag along with me
Oh wwww when... you're with me
I want to tell you kiss me.
So kiss me and I'll kiss you too
I want to spend my time with you.

Your actions wouldn´t be evil.
For example if let´s say; I like eating meat, but instead, I eat only vegetables. I´d still like to eat meat by nature and I wouldn´t really change that, BUT, by instead eating vegetables, I´d be defiling that, but I wouldn´t really change my nature.
Or so I think
