so... I've never been to a con before and I may not for a while but if I do get the chance to go to this one, would it be worth it to go for just one day? (Not a long drive at all)
Also I didn't pre-register so would I be able to get in the day of or am I out of luck, this is as far as I'm aware the only con in Texas... And I wanna get my feet wet as far as con going is concerned to see if it's somthing I'd do again.
Thoughts and advice are greatly appreciated

Be warned, some people just go to cons to hook up. If anyone touches you inappropriately you MUST contact con security. They're there for a reason: to protect you! Knowing where ConOps and security is important. Sexual harassment is never good and sadly it DOES happen at every furry con! The ConOps location is in the booklet you'll be receiving when you register.
Know your limitations! Don't drink too much because puking at your first furry con ain't fun.
Try to plan your panel/con schedule/food schedule ahead of time. The whole schedule is posted online. It'll make everything move smoothly. Figure out what times you wanna eat and what restaurants look good. Though, most likely you might be pulled into some random get together at some random food place it's always good to have a plan.
If you're on a budget, try to pack your own food and request a fridge or request your food get refrigerated from the front desk. Going out to eat for breakfest lunch and dinner at a con adds up EXTREMELY fast. I usually just bring a Goober PBand J jar and a loaf of bread.
I've been socially awkward too. What helps me with my social anxiety is I put 1 finger on my stomach. When I'm in a social situation, that finger will tell me if my stomach is tensing up. So I force my stomach to feel relaxed and it, MAGICALLY, makes all my social situations completely comfortable.
6-2-1: Don't forget to get at least 6 hours of sleep, two meals a day and 1 shower per day during the con!
If you're into performance art, stand up comedy, poetry, music, dance or something like that... get in contact with the heads of "Furry Drama Show" because they run a very laid back and enjoyable panel.
Also, go to the fursuit dance competition. It's the best part of every con: ALWAYS.
Lastly, go to Whataburger... you'll understand why when you get there.
