I will probably vote for Labour if Jeremy Corbyn remains as the leader. Otherwise, I may vote for the Green Party, with which I disagree on a lot of issues, but they seem to be the only party willing to talk about issues that I consider important, such as making blood donation policy less discriminatory against homosexuals, and decriminalizing some drugs while improving the information available on their effects. That's for 2020 though, unless we somehow get a much-needed vote of no confidence on the current Prime Minister, David Cameron, who won the 2015 election with only 37% of the popular vote.
If I was an American citizen, I'd probably vote Democrat. Probably Sanders, since he sounds like the American equivalent of Corbyn. But I am a bit of a pessimist so I fear that Trump will win. If he does, I think UK-US relations will be...the opposite of smooth.
As for us Americans, it is looking like Donald Trump is going to be the Republican candidate if neither Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz can pull out ahead of him. While on the Democrats side we have Bernie Sander making the once believed obvious candidate, Hillary Clinton, have to work to keep ahead in the polls.
It is still a bit early to discuss who to vote for since primaries are still going on but i am really feeling the Bern here. Although it is still a very uphill battle against Hilary, I really do hope we will be able to get this guy as our candidate. As for Republicans at this point it is either going to be Trump or whichever candidate can get the anti-trump voters to join with them.
maybe. it might be a joke, but if trump is elected president, i'm buying a one way ticket away from america before society collapses into a mad max like world where problems are solved in thunderdome.
Looked it up, it's called Cape Breton Island, and it's a fake article from my understanding, but if he's elected, I'm either fleeing to Canada or Morocco to watch the fireworks from safety.
I'd be all for Bernie if the Democrats were in a stronger position overall. But they've dropped the ball on state and congressional races and now the Republicans are in control. Like Obama, Sanders would be a great president leading a leftward consensus and I think that would be ideal. But without that consensus I think Clinton is more realistic and would be able to squeeze more good out of the situation. I'd send my absentee vote in for either in the general (living in Canada now, not for political reasons lol)
Yeah, democratic leadership has seriously dropped the ball on local elections. There's only a handful of dem controlled state governments. I've done what I can for my local state party but we're so outnumbered. :/
Firmly on Hillary's camp (which gets my monthly donations) but I consider myself a progressive warhark (or a pretty moderate democrat) so that's no shock to anyone.
feel the bern yo. i'm voting for bernie sanders and i hope he wins. he is making great progress but i fear it may not be enough to beat shillary clinton. donald trump is going to be the republican nomination and he will be a disaster where shillary will only continue the same slow death of america. bernie really is the best candidate we got.
i heard a theory that he's actually gonna make sure shillary becomes president by becoming the republican nominee and then conceding the election to shillary or by being so crazy america votes for the less psycho candidate. trump has had dealings with the clintons before.

So in short, go Burnie.
