Hello Furaffinity!
I've been meaning to actually work on my profile here for a few months. I wasn't confident enough in my abilities to post anywhere other then Tumblr and sometimes dA, but I've come around, slowly. This journal is going to be mostly talking about my thoughts and goals as an artist; I probably won't be this winded in other journals.

I'm currently really hopeful to start doing commissions somehow. I'm constantly trying to improve as an artist and I do a lot of personal work that I generally don't upload (it's all WIPs; I don't finish a lot of studies I do unless that's part of the study itself. Example: gestures vs photo recreation), but eating takes top priority, as you can imagine.
(I'll make a Thing listing my commission prices soon!)
Besides that, though, I LOVE fan art. I have a passion for my original art too, but I love the emotions of fan art, and I love taking a pre-existing character and playing around with their personalities and such. It doesn't matter how silly or serious something is, I love to make and consume fan content of all kinds.
My long term goals, outside of "get regular commissions", is mostly artistic milestones. I want to be able to construct gorgeous figure drawing, but I also want to learn to appreciate and then enjoy creating backgrounds. I also have most structured art goals, the biggest currently being "getting to a point where I can do halfway decent sequential art", "think of forms in 3D automatically", "learn how values/lights and shadows work", and "get to a point where perspective comes naturally".
Speaking of goals, I think my dream artistic progression, job wise, would be:
-Do a lot of one-offs or short series NSFW comics for a while as per commission; learn a lot of useful tools about composition, perspective, and visual storytelling through sheer repetition
-From there, make a few famous fan works, like a Percy Weasley webcomic or an Artemis Fowl visual novel
-While I do that, get my foot in the door with "serious" projects by doing different side work for different companies (like, being a colorist or line artist, creating a few character designs, doing the pencils for some one offs, etc)
-Create my first "100% me" projects, like an indie RPGMaker game, an original visual novel, a comic, so on
Around this time, I should have a feel for which of those things I like doing the most. If I enjoy the "for hire" stuff for different companies, I might slowly build my way into become a full time artist for something like Dark Horse. Or, I could find that the original projects are more of my tune, and I could do them slowly while I have side work for paying the bills and building up a following of some sort.
There's a lot of possibilities; I'm very optimistic.
For now, though, I better upload one or two things and get to bed. Thank you for checking out my art! I hope you find it enjoyable.
