ART QUESTIONS

1. When did you get into art?
When I was very, very small, I started drawing things with crayons like any kid. I got praised for it, and in my house praise of any kind was a pretty big deal. My parents weren't what you'd call 'nurturing'. And I am rather... fat. Have been my whole life. So art was the only time anyone really paid me any positive attention, and I craved it. Plus I've always really enjoyed drawing. I've grown out of the attention seeking phase, as much as any artist ever really does, and now its more a way to express myself and my feelings.

2. What art-related sites have you ever signed up for?
FurAffinity, deviantART, um.... Weasyl I think? Etsy... and then theres art groups on Facebook and Livejournal...

3. Show us your oldest piece of art you have on hand.
Umm... had to go digging around my devART since I sadly lost alot of art from my old computer when it died... and sketchbooks got tossed by my aunt... http://angel-of-tricks.deviantart.c.....upted-41202382

4. What defines your artistic style?
Anime. lol. Its definately anime based.

5. Do you practice other styles/have you tried other styles in the past?
Yes. Realism never really clicked with me, though I do still have a few pieces I like that I did. I've also hopped around other 'cartoony' styles, like Adventure Time and Disney.

6. What levels of artistic education have you had?
Advanced classes in high school.

7. Show us at least one picture you drew or sketched recently that you did not put on a public site.
Um... its not really worth putting up anywhere to show you. Its just a really stupid doodle of a chick going "Ahhh! Quinoa!" As a box of quinoa is dumped on her. It... was an inside joke with the bestie. lol.

8. What is your favorite piece that you have done?

9. What is your least favorite piece that you have done?
So many pieces. lol. Maybe this? I really need to redo a new ref sheet for hubby, this was pre-tablet and very rushed. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12047875/

10. What do you like most about your art?
The feeling I get when a piece comes out right. Its rare for me to feel pride in myself outside of art.

11. What do you like least about your art?
I have so much left to learn... especially with the tablet! My linework is messy, and I cant digitally shade for shit.

12. Have you ever considered taking commissions?
Yes. I have, in fact.

13. Are you looking to pursue a career in art?
Well, I sell art at conventions, and would like to be an art teacher one day.

14. What do you like drawing the most?
....Porn. X3

15. What do you like drawing the least?
Naked Humans. Looks weird.

16. Do you draw more fanart or original art? If fanart, what fandom do you draw the most of?
Fanart, definately lol. Sooo many fandoms.

17. What would you absolutely refuse to draw?
Childporn. NEVER EVER.

18. What is your purpose for drawing?
Expression.

19. What medium/program do you use the most in your art?
Traditionally, prisma colors and oil pastels. Digitally, my tablet and Paint tool SAI

20. How would you rank your art? (poor, mediocre, good, etc.)
Um... not poor but not good, so... mediocre? lol

21. Do you believe there is such a thing as "bad art"?
No. Just different levels of skill and bad subject matter.

22. List at least one of your "artspirations".
What does this mean? what inspires me to draw? ...Being horny? And probably geeking out with my bestie XD

23. What do you think you could stand to improve on?
So much. Digital shading, different body types, linework, poses, perspective....

24. Do you have a shameful art past? (recolor sprite comics, tracing art, etc.)
No. I use references at time for difficult poses, but I've never traced.

25. Draw a picture!
