There was a furmeet at a local hotel a couple of weeks ago, ("local" being Toronto, Canada.) It happened to be in a hotel where some Syrian refugees were staying, we only found out on the day. The kids loved the giant, walking stuffed animals and their parents were mostly okay with it, too.

...maybe we should organize something....
