I think I may be a mixed therian- i am not sure if this is an actual term already, but i mean that my spirit feels like two animals, together, at the same time.
a goat, and a cat. a coat? lel
i discovered this recently, after some help from multiple people- and guess i kind of unconsciously knew it too, because I designed my sona as a kind of weird chimera of the two.
NOW HAVE A COOKIE
Anyway, I'll keep things brief. I did get a commission done that signified that awakening, and you can see it here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/15807129/
(It turned out slightly different than I envisioned and described to the artist, but meh, close enough.)
My name, well...Call me whatever you like, lol.
Don't laugh, but I'm a polytherian and furry. My theriotypes are the wolf, domestic cat, and kitsune. I awakened in August 2013 and found all my theriotypes by Mid-year/wiinter 2014.
I am very open-minded and because of that, most people I talk to slowly become more and more passive aggressive..
For example..one of the types of shift..
*cough*
Errr, if you see my intro & don't agree, that's okay, but I don't want to argue about it please. I came here for the purpose of finding friends similar or same beliefs.
I also like to read oracle/tarot cards, astral project, annnnd..
Suddenly I can't remember anything else. XD so..
Thanks for reading! I hope I can make some new friends!
Technically I've been furry for most of my life without even realizing it! But I had my 'awakening' about ten years ago. Like some people above posted, I've had very very vivid dreams my entire life, and most of those revolved around a grey timber wolf.
I used to think it was my spirit guide, but it didn't feel right to call it that. I eventually came to the understanding that the wolf was supposed to be ME. I felt weird and strange about it at first, that people would judge me or think I'm crazy, but over the years I've definitely come to terms with it and learned to feel comfortable in my own body, even though some days I feel like I shouldn't be in it, that it isn't really 'me'. I dunno if anyone will relate to this, but I definitely at times feel like I should have a tail, a little tingle in the base of my spine.
I feel like the essence of my soul is that of a wolf, and, being lucky enough to visit some tame wolves in captivity and being able to touch, play, and kiss them, confirmed it. I'm a wolf therian and I'm proud of it.
I've known I was a therian for I think seven years now, its a bit hard to remember when I discovered the term therian but I've always knew I was an animal on the inside. I'm a wolf therian, I've never changed or doubted my theriotype I've always known and some can tell its true just from my personality.
I actually have theriotype headshot commissions I'm doing for $10 if anyone is interested http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19336407
I really enjoy drawing people's theriotypes I like how people can connect to the artwork I make.
I also collect bones and crystals and am a very spiritual person.
If you want to know anymore just send me a note!
I started looking deep into myself back in 1997-1998. I came across some sites of other therianthropes, and something about what I read felt it was clicking with me. I spent a short while in a few forums at the time. As I discussed it with others, I began to feel really in touch with myself as I felt a growing connection with a wolf spirit that I felt had actually been with me for years, if not life, or beyond.
I've had many dreams over the years showing a connection to wolves, even long before I really understood why I would feel such strong connections. These dreams have always stood out in my mind, and often the most vivid I have ever had. I've always noticed oddities compared to most people, like the extent I like the feeling of a den environment. I don't feel entirely comfortable in a location if it doesn't have a suitable small, dark, cramped feeling to it. As I had become more attuned to my spiritual nature, I noticed strong periods of feeling wolfish inside, especially under circumstances that would be stimulating to a canine in general, like seeing a deer running through a field. A social thing, I can generally win the affection of a person's dogs to the point it rivals the owner's received affection. I think the most memorable time being when a person's German shepherd, the first time I met her, she saw me getting into a car and she ran up to me and grasped me around my arm with her mouth. I never even knew a dog to ever display such a level of situational understanding and attachment to someone at the time, especially not in less than a hour's knowing me. These are just some factors, but on some level these and everything else all add up to me not feeling "just human," I guess you could say.
As for being a furry, I never really began to classify myself as one until about 2005-ish, but I was never opened up to the community. I still felt out of place to it, one of the "too serious" therianthropes. There's a lot of other factors, but I've only just recently opened up. It's a little slow going, and I'm a bit reclusive again at the moment, I just felt I was trying too hard and need to take a step back. But anyway, I've had a spark for the fandom years before I even knew it was a thing, since about age 13, which is around the time Breath of Fire 1 and 2 were still new games.
While I'm on the shy side, you can feel free to chat with me if you want through a Note on the site. If any "young" therians, in terms of finding who you are, have any questions, I've had enough time to think about myself for years, so I might be able to offer helpful thoughts.
I hope to get to know some of chu!! :3
For the longest time I've felt the most at home and at peace in wooded areas with some sort of water landmark and mountain areas. I never thought much of it until I had a dream where I was sprinting through a forest and onto huge sandstone rocks that hung from an island over a lake. But the strange thing was that I wasn't a human in the dream I was a mountain lion. The dream was long, I was hunting, running, resting, and just relaxing, and when I woke up for a few seconds I didn't know where I was, I didn't know who I was, cause in the dream it all felt so comfortable and real. You know the feeling you get when you remember something, and the feeling you get when you have a dream, they're very different, and I knew that feeling I got that night was not one of a dream, but of a memory. But the one thing that sold it for me, is that place I was running through in my "dream" looked exactly the same as the place I go to every year with my family!!
So, I am Crag the mountain lion. I hope to make some friends owo
My wolf part is not as dominant as my mountain lion side, but I do have shifts once and a while, but only on rare occasions. My wolf part is named Lunar, I don't know much about them, besides the few times I have shifted. I am very lonely, I know that there are tons of wolf therians but I have no one to talk to. I am in desperate need for a pack, so if you have a pack that needs more members or you would like to form one, PLEASE note me!
My name is Gwen, also known as Wenonah.
Well, where could I start? My journey was a pretty hard thing and could rather be described as "an identity crises in puberty". After all, I'm still an European brown bear from Germany. I believe that I reincarnated into this body now to learn something - I just still don't know what I have to learn. We'll see with time, I'm sure.
So, a little bit about myself.
I'm a lovely, friendly, tolerant and open-minded bear but can be grumpy sometimes. Who isn't? I'm also a loner, a solitary being but I have nothing against a meeting sometimes. That's pretty okay and can be very funny. To earn my trust you need a very, very long time and personal contact. I also don't run after other ones. That's an important point I want to mention 'cause of some weird experiences in my past. Nevertheless, I'm open for any nice conversations.
Anyways, have a great day. I hope there are some other bears around here.
After meditation, deeper introspection and more I can be sure now that I'm not a brown bear. I thought about it all the time now but I wanted to wait. Yes, now I have the answer: I'm a polar bear.
My name is Theo but I go by Weylyn. Well, I'm just an other wolf. A Eurasian wolf, to be more specific. I knew it as a child but questioned everything after a while. Mostly because of that wave of wolves. Everyonewas a wolf - or claimed to be one - and I began to doubt. After a few years of introspecting I had to accept myself as a wolf. I am what I am and can't change it.
As a contherian I don't experience any type of shifts. Partly cool, partly annoying. But I must say that I feel good with it, nevertheless. I don't have to fight against myself suddenly howling or such. Sure, it happens that I growl, whelp or stuff but that's not the standard. As a contherian I can narrow it down a bit and learn to live with it. I think these shifts would drive me crazy.
Anyhow, feel free to message me whenever you want or needed to.
Bye
Weylyn
I'm another wolf therian. I have known I was a therian my entire life. I have shifts now and then. I'm a white wolf with brown eyes.
My story is in the link below.

I also have some other therian journals you can check out.

I am also a male mutt from Mexico. I don't remember much about that time, all I remember is that my owners called me Woren.
Uh, I dont really talk about this stuff too often, I am a bit shy and nervous about it and dint understand it too much. I would be more than happy to talk about these things with someone!
Black feral cat therian and dragonkin.
I found the furry label first and I identified most with being a scalie dragon, until I found what otherkin and therian was years later, got to better understand the cat traits I exhibited, and discovered that's what actually applied to my identity. Still not rejecting the furry label for myself as it still brings comfort.
Mentally / behaviour wise a cat, while interacting and manifesting externally as a dragon. I don't know if there's a kin specific word for that, whatever Toothless has going on too.
I am kinfluid and my theriotypes are reef eels (cladokin) and domestic horses (also cladokin). My otherkin types include unicorns, (sapient) dragons, and non-sapient things such as boats/ships and various military aircraft. I typically don’t talk about my alterhuman experiences on my account, but I absolutely love to discuss my experiences when asked as well as help others who are questioning being alterhuman discover their identities!
