Okie so ya know how sometimes your friends tell you something will be fun and you really wanna believe them so you take a leap of faith and try something?
I traveled from Nj to Texas on that notion, a chance to meet new furs and make friends. A chance to start over in a new place. I wont pretend it was easy getting down to texas from issues with money, family, schedules, TSA, flight delays and all that crazy stuff and me being a big baby about things and my body and mind freaking on me, oh boy.
The result? Im in pure bliss. This has been hands down one of the best desisions i have made. Im rooming with two amazing furs very dear to my heart, not cubs but very tolerant and accepting. I met their friends/house mates both of which very nice furs.
Then there was the con, saying i was nervous is an understatement like saying the ocean is damp. But i got here, i ran around in my light up cat ear headphones and blast fun music for people, i won a tiny plushie from a game and got to meet some of my all time biggest furry idols.
Matthew Ebel was awesome to meet even if my credit card decided to poop out on me, Noxychu and Cadistra where unbelieveable absolutely amazing, i rambled on like a fangirl dork for forever and they where both super amazing about the whole thing!!!! I got a sketch from Cadi and a button from Noxy and oh my gosh even a bigger fan girl now.
I ran into a few amazing furs walking around like my two new friends from the airport, dottedbow and her mate. And the. Got to meet MarciMcAdam can't commision her just yet but oh my gosh she is super sweet!
I caught up with my roommates at the javelin toss event thing and met an amazingly cute girl there and work up the courage to say something, oh my gosh soooooo glad i did, we clicked almost instantly, both of us a bit shy but when we both realized it we laughed it off and had an even better time. Cereal is one of the coolest furs i met on my trip so far, we hung out almost all day even went to the cubhub and though both super shy i got to make some truly outstanding furs, truly if any of you are reading this, from the bottom of my heart thank you, the panels and hang outs and chats helped mend my heart and mind in ways i couldnt dream of only a few short days ago. I got back to my room and fell asleep with a big grin on my face, peaceful, and happy.
