I'm really not sure if I should use my watermark or go for a signature on my draws. Or just add a string of text with date, profile link and character names :/

As far as taking up a corner, that really isn't all that much space. I've seen really obnoxious logos that take up too much space, or are TOO eye catching and are distracting. Yours is nice and simple.
Plus, just raw text is too easy to get lost in the image.
