Journal on Brushes and Other Resources
Hello everyone
I often get asked about my brushes so I decided to make a small list of useful resources!
Brushes
I get all of my brushes from other artists as I don’t know how to make my own, all I do is mess with the opacity and flow at most.
The following brush packs are my absolute favorites, and even though some of them cost money they are worth every penny and remember : Investing on art supplies be them materials or art books is important, even better if it helps support other artists.
http://benhickling.deviantart.com/a.....30609&qo=0 - By Far one of my two favorite brush packs, I use these brushes very often
http://rillani.deviantart.com/art/B.....30609&qo=9
http://rezwanadimechkhan.deviantart.....30609&qo=7 - very nice for texture
http://tatchit.deviantart.com/art/B.....0609&qo=10 -
’s pack is very useful for anyone who is starting to experiment with painting fur, highly recommended for that
https://gumroad.com/discover?query=kyle# - Kyle’s ultimate brush pack is also one of my two ultimate favorite brush sets, it is also in my honest opinion, the most complete brush set you could ever buy. He always updates his brushes too
Tutorials
Like I said above you should invest on art and by coincidence none of my favorite tutorials or books on art are free. but worth every single cent.
https://gumroad.com/discover?query=marina+nery# - understanding reality can and is very useful for anyone no matter their style, this portrait video was great for me when it came to understanding textures and light
https://gumroad.com/k04sk# - Probably my favorite Gumroad account, even though I only got two of his tutorials aha, EVERYTHING LOOKS SO EDUCATIONAL
https://gumroad.com/k04sk# - Even though I only bought it recently and haven’t had much time to explore it, Tamberella’s tutorial on how to paint animals looks like one of the most useful ones I’ve ever seen, you can also check out her very useful video on youtube where she goes over how to paint background, explains light and colors : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHc.....ature=youtu.be
Per fin ME!
I can’t evaluate how useful it is, but I did try so here’s my tutorial on fur for anyone who might be interested aha : https://gumroad.com/l/QlkN#
I hope this journal is useful, I didn’t include my favorite art books as most of them are either on birds or watercolor, but yeah
Hope this proves to be of use for anyone who stumbles upon it!
