Hello, everyone! I apologize for being so sporadic with the updates; I've been very busy with work. Just a couple items to mention.
First, very soon I will be seeking to make a new FA page for this group. Why? Because we are not a marching band anymore. At least, not now. I want to make a page entitled "TheBandOfFur", and it isn't possible to simply change the name of this page (if I'm wrong, please let me know.) Don't worry. There will be ample notifications of this so that people know to switch over :)
Second, I have submitted a panel to Anthrocon for this year. More details will come to light if approved. The idea is that those of us that are going to AC will bring our instruments (if at all possible) and play through some simple arrangements. This will be set up as a music reading session or rehearsal, with me and/or Rocky on the podium to lead the group. If possible, music will be shared ahead of time to allow you to rehearse it beforehand.
The same thing will be planned for MFF as well. However, panel submissions do not open up until May 1st. Keep that in mind if this effect anyone's convention plans!

Yeah, unfortunately. Having a marching band at a furry convention just isn't feasible right now all things considered. It may be possible to have a PEP BAND at some events (the kind you see at college basketball games.) But that remains to be seen.

I love the sound of the AC idea! Would you be willing to consider playing some music by Furry composers? I've got some old sheet music from my college days still available.

Of course. It just might not happen right away. At AC, we'll just play through some simple music to get the ball rolling.
