Some of you may or may not know that I am, in fact, Belgian. I live in Belgium and happened to be in Brussels on this fateful day. It was a scary and shocking experience, that's for sure. I've always heard stories about terrorism but always shrugged it off as it being something far away. Paris was close and shocking, yes, but still not something I was actually a part of. Right now, I am. I've heard explosions, seen police everywhere, fear was all around us. I'm glad I didn't get hurt, as the explosions didn't happen where I was, but still, it's hard to be happy when your country gets hit this way.
Now I know what terrorism is like and I'm sorry for being so indifferent about it before. I hope that is shall never happen in Belgium again, but I know that it's a vain hope until those... beasts in Iraq and Syria aren't taken care of.
At least I'm safe, that's what's important, but still, so many loss of life...
May they rest in peace.

I'm Just glad your Safe. Its a horrible Feeling knowing that. Looks like these Assholes aren't gonna Stop until every nation has a 9/11 event.

I can say so many racist things about Muslims right now, and I really want to, but you never know what kind of backlash it shall give. All I know is that I'm no friend of Muslims, that's for sure.

Yeah, I'm fine. Was quite... shocking. Have slept, though, so I feel better now. But still, it's like they directly harmed a very part of who you are. In a way, it brings us Belgians together more, but at what cost? A great one. I hope we can kick their ass sometime soon.

I heard about the attacks earlier today and I immediately thought of you, I'm glad that you're safe, and I hope you stay safe in the future. Terrorism is despicable, and I'm sorry you had to be so close to it.

Yeah, fine now. People label it as our 9/11. And they are right. The death toll is not as high, but it still hurts all the same.

Thank you, I'm certain we shall get out of this eventually, and hopefully stronger. It's strange, though, almost as if waking up in a different world. I guess most people in Belgium were shaken awake by the fact that terrorism can hit us as well.
