Yay! lm almost to my 1000th watch here on FA, and as l said in a journal before, l will be doing something l think will be fun, but also help raise some money on my end so l can finally get to the Doctors. More on that later once l reach it ^ ^
So, lm sure some are wondering why l want/ need to go to the Doctors...l mean...some have asked me pesonally through either note or IM...so to save the trouble, l'll just tell you here...^ ^; havent before because l thought it was a littl embarrasing bu l figured eh...what do l have to loose right?..lol
I have gallstones =o....how do l know? mom took me to have a checkup with her once, had some tests and all that and got a letter saying l do ^ ^
Now my mom doesnt really believe me when l tell her, and its been a while since l got the leter and its misplaced from her desk....so! whenever l get some money together l will have to undergo te same tests to tell me what l already know, and thats money wasted right there, but oh well.
l do not have medical insurance (no one in this household do), l asked mom how much it would possibly be for some and she said 'alote', so um....yay? o.o
Anyhoot, if it does come up in the test mom wants me to take agan that l do in fact have it, then there are a few optons l can take....
One being l can either be on medication for a few years and once thats finished theres a chance it can return again....or~....l can go in for surgery =/
Now! lm sure some are thinking, well why do that when ya can just wait a bit and just pass them?...well thas not true l dont think, from what lve read and from what l can tell thats going on with my body, is that the gallstones stay were they are unless you take the medication or surgery.
You may not understand completely how it feels, but to try and illistrate, it kinda feels like someone stabbed a giant sword into my abdomen and through my back and keep twisting the blade inside. The pain keeps gettin wurse over time and would last for hours, if not the whole night. I have once, when l didnt hav any painkillers inte house to take, was in tears, hurting so badly that my body was shaking. Was so tired but coudnt sleep due to the intense pain and was liturally screaming in my room in my room and alerted my parents, who hurried to the drug store and bought any kind of painkillers they could think of.
and then of course, yeah theres the vomiting, but l wont get into details with that.
My mom says my Aunt hd gallstones and compared it to laber pains.....now lve never had a child before o.o...so l have no clue if thats true.
l dont like being on these painkillers so much since they tend to knock me out or make me feel drained of energy, so much so l dont even feel like drawing, and l hate that...l love making art...
so...yeah there you go....heh ^ ^;
anyho um...few more watches to go an l reach 1000! woo~ x3

I know with kidney stones, if you squeeze half a lemon into 8oz of water and drink, it will break them up, because lemons have a large amount of acids, but I don't know if that would work with gallstones.. hmm..
Also, your grandma has once again made me glad I'm not female o.O
Lucky you x3
Also, make sure you let me know when mine and Rose's commission slot is up so we can pay you for half of it. Otherwise I'll forget. x3
Hope things go well~!
Fast for a day. Drink plenty of fruit and fibery foods the day before, but you can't have anything to eat (drinking is okay) on this day.
At the end of the day, mix 1/2 a cup of lemon juice and 1/2 a cup of oil (preferably olive). Drink up!
Fasting stores up bile. Lemon juice releases it violently (and with stones). The oil helps stimulate the gallbladder as well as lubricate them.
"A regimen called a "gallbladder flush" or "liver flush" is a popular remedy in alternative medicine. In this treatment, often self-administered, the patient drinks four glasses of pure apple juice (not cider) and eats five apples (or applesauce) per day for five days, then fasts briefly, takes magnesium, and then drinks large quantities of lemon juice mixed with olive oil before bed. The next morning, they painlessly pass a number of green and brown pebbles purported to be stones flushed from the biliary system. Apples are a source of pectin, which has been shown to sequester bile and facilitate its elimination in the stool.
A brief communication in The Lancet presents a case report of such a treatment where the patient released many soft stones. According to the article, "At the univerity hospital the stones were recognized as fatty stones". In another case report, a patient with ultrasonography-confirmed gallstones drank olive oil and lemon juice, suffered diarrhea and intense abdominal pain, and released several gallstones. After that treatment, the gallbladder was empty, as confirmed by ultrasonography.
On the other hand, a couple of case reports challenge the fact that what the stones retrieved from the stool after the "gallbladder flush" really come from the bladder. A New Zealand hospital analyzed stones from a typical gallbladder flush and found them to be composed of fatty acids similar to those in olive oil, with no detectable cholesterol or bile salts, demonstrating that they are little more than hardened olive oil. Despite the gallbladder flush, the patient still required surgical removal of multiple true gallstones. A similar case report in The Lancet, accompanied by a simple chemical experiment, concludes that the observed stones from a typical gallbladder flush actually are a consequence of the flush: they form in the stomach under the chemical action of digestive enzymes of the stomach on the mix of olive oil and lemon."
There's no way the digestive track can form stones from oil in a matter of a day or a few hours.
The specific regiment in the Wiki is one particular method of approach the flush, but not a very conclusive look at all different methods of a gallbladder flush.
I don't entirely trust the wiki article here because it seems to be full of anecdotes. There are lots of stories of gallbladder flushes online and the most consistent details of them are about the fast + oil + lemon juice. For those that are particularly curious of how effective it is, one can use a strainer in the toilet to catch the stones, plus how one feels overall.
Or you can look at it this way: If you take the flush and nothing happens, no big deal. Just one nasty drink. If you take it and it works, great. If you take it and the passage of the stones require emergency medical attention (worst case scenario, haven't heard of it happening), the doctors must treat you regardless of finances because of the emergency situation.
