So I pretty much always wear a tail outside and it doesn't happen very often but occasionally someone asks me why I'm wearing a tail. The problem is that I don't always know what to answer. This morning it happened again and I just stood there in an awkward moment of silence. Eventually I just softly said something like "Well, I just like it", not even sure if he even heard it.

But then it hit me. What if I just said I'm a furry? What if he's a furry wondering if I'm one too? What if he has a furry friend? It actually happened one time that someone I actually know a bit, asked me about my tail and I think he actually asked me whether I was a furry, because it turned out, he actually has a furry friend! Unfortunately he lives rather far away from me so we only exchanged some e-mails. I would still really like to meet a furry in real life who lives near me.

So what do you think? Should I say that I'm a furry when someone asks me about my tail? Would you ask someone who wears a tail if they were a furry? Would you wear a tail in public, or something else that could identify you as a furry?
