Sorry Guys Computer Issues T-T (Help)

Agh bad news dudes, my laptop suddenly decided it won't run Sai anymore. I thought it was a virus messing with my programs so I did 2 full scans with different antivirus programs and found nothing. Then things spiraled down from there and my laptop didn't want to run properly at all... I had a friend help me out and do a system restore. Although my laptop can function properly again, Sai still refuses to run. We think it might be a hard drive issue, I've tried everything to get it to run again.
Seeing that my laptop is almost 6 years old now, I think it's time to retire the old girl and get a new laptop. All you techy fuzzbutts out there lend me your wisdom!! What kind of laptop do you think I should get? I need a laptop that can run games and programs, and hold a lot of memory.
I've been using this HP Paviilion dv6 and it has served me well for the most part. I think I'd like to try something that's not an HP but I'm not picky, HPs are fine! I just think I should try something new but feel free to suggest any HP laptops you'd recommend.
So with that I'm afraid art commissions will be on hold until I get a new working laptop, I'm really sorry you guys. I'm very upset and disappointed that I can't complete any artwork right now. =(
I'm hoping to get the new laptop asap, but I need to take the time to find the right one that can fit my needs!

I've tried that and it sadly still won't open >.< I selected different compatibility settings and performed a troubleshoot. I think it's definitely a compatibility problem, just need to figure out how to make it compatible again.
I got my current gaming rig there. It has a very good nvidia graphics card, and a 3.6 ghz processor. That and two monitors cost me under $1000. Not to mention that this laptop was sold modded with a good graphics card to go with the really good processor. I had my old laptop for 5 years, and it was finally time to let it go, so I got this awesome beast.
They have modded laptops as well, though getting a desktop seems to be the cheaper option. :3
And it's not like a mom-and-pop computer shop. They wear suits and stuff. Like, it's a REALLY nice place. You can even check out what you want online, and then go into the store and ask for exactly what you want and they'll fetch it for you. I cannot recommend this place enough XD
I can give you the minimum specs of what you'd want to look for as a digital artist :D Just note me with what software you use + what games you play! I'll ask Jenks and Vinn what the Microcenter carries too! And like everyone else said, Microcenter is a total godsend, but I can def give you a good starting point!
