Thinking about MCFC

No, I didn't go this year, but it still my favorite US fur con.
It's my favorite con because I know so many midwest furs who attend it and that makes me feel comfortable. However, I [no longer] have any good / close friends who attend it and that fact causes me to feel alone and bummed when there despite being surrounded by so many familiar faces. It's a painful mix of familiarity and loneliness. I regret not being able to go this year, but at the same time I remember how alone I get there. It's hard to figure. Plus it doesn't help that I've moved down here alone and away from the few Minnesota friends I did have.

Did it achieve your other goals. Not that this last winter was anything like the last few years

Eh, I was reluctant to go to my first one since I didn't know anyone, but I went on a whim the first day in 2014 and had a blast. I'd say come on down regardless since you dunno what'll happen. For me, it's like each year I attend, I'm meeting at least one new person, and that makes it worth attending. ..through I'm a bit biased now since I'm staff and have to go. XD
