Fur The More 2016

Well, I've got enough focus to write a bit now.
Went to Fur The More this weekend, furry con in Northern Virginia, and had a blast!
There was so much that went on, and so many highlights, I can't really keep track of what happened when.
I'm pretty sure I spent a minimum of 5 hours every day I was at the con, in suit.

So one panel I was happy to attend was the 'Made it Myself' panel for those who made their own fursuits!
Which was a supercool opportunity.
Got a group picture, and everyone got to talk about tips and tricks they've picked up along the way! Tons of fun, and learned some things!

But my favourite highlight has gotta be the Chimera Challenge.
Two hours to build a fursuit out of scraps and hot glue.
Got to work on one this time with 5 of my bestest friends, and making that ridiculously silly creature we did was really something else X3
It was chaotic and crazy to start... and it did kinda stay chaotic and crazy, but once we started working, it was a real team effort. Everyone working on different parts. We'd bounce around ideas, refine them, figure out who was doing what part, and then put it together. Was really cool to work with that kind of synergy, and the results were hilariously wonderful XD
We created the monster we called Snu-Snu, the rainbow angel dragon.
Why this came to be is beyond me. But it was incredible.

I was pretty happy with the outcome. The judging was the next day, but building that with my friends was victory enough for me. It was still fun to see all the designs everyone came up with at the line up.
Though I did not expect that winner.

Oh my! That looks most excellent, especially for having done it in two hours! May I ask, is that you on the far right and front of the photo, looking a bit Christopher Llyod-ish? I recall you mentioning your height being well above-average, and this fellow looks to be much taller than average *nods* Nice picture ^++^
And well, yes that winner I didn't expect either, but if it was up to me I would choose your guys' fursuit!
You know you're a furry when you work out so you sweat less in suit X3

And thank you! It was so much fun to make. It is indeed me on the right, but I'm just closer to the camera XD I'm only about 2 meters tall.
And it is our suit that won XD I don't think anyone in my group was expecting that - we just had fun making it!
That would be a good motivator to hep me lose weight! Now I have another reason *chuckles*

Lol only about 6'7" then, I suppose that's short if you're a 7'6" basketball player!
Wait that's the same fursuit ><? I'm sorry, gah! I feel so phoney now for saying that I would choose your guys' suit but the picture looked different to me than in the video >< I'm sorry XD That's the most important part I would imagine, what fun would an award be if you loathed the experience? ^++^
And not especially floofy, just floppy X3 I can set them on people's heads, and smack my friends and block their faces in pictures! XD
Dogs look good in ties.
I think last I checked I was 5'11", so just short of 6 feet.
It's okay XD I was kind of misleading with how I phrased it - I figured folks should feel some of the bewildered shock I did.
I mean it was super fun to do, and I was just happy to do it, but to win with it... XD That was like the cherry on top of an awesome sundae.
xD Well as long as you can play with them that is the best part XD

Oh gosh I had your real height and fursona height confused, I thought you meant 6'7" in real life xD I would have been awkwardly arching my head like halloo and you would be having to crane your face down like hallooo down theree xD
Hehehe I bet that would have been the best sundae to have, knowing the hard work got said sundae :3
