I keep forgetting to write this journal
TL;DR - Got a job a while ago. Getting used to it, so may open up commissions again within a month or two, but at a higher price.
So yeah! I totally keep forgetting to write this journal because I have to get used to only having like 4 hours of free time on weekdays again. I got a job at the end of March that my dad tipped me about because he's a contact at the place. I didn't want to get too excited about it because I was being me and was all worried about how badly I was going to fuck it up. It's going pretty well so far, though. I got my first full 2-week paycheck a few days ago, so that felt great after not having income since June. Next up is getting a car loan so I can stop using my roomie's car for the 45 minute drive to the place.
The job itself is software development stuff, which I technically went to college for before I dropped out, but 90% of my experience and knowledge is from hobbying anyway. Mostly I've just been setting up GUIs and making database calls, which is probably going to be most of the work there. So much sitting. Sitting for life! :u
The bad part of this all is that I lose track of what little time I have very easily, so I dont know how much I'll be actually doing more art stuff. I have been getting a lot of notes asking when I'll open up again, but the best I can give is "In the recent future". I do WANT to keep drawing as a thing, but I can rarely find the drive or time. Also, due to my time being more valuable both financially and personally, they will be at increased prices, and may be changed into an audition type thing, where I pick which ones I want to draw. I am thinking of putting premiums on stuff I want to draw less as another option.
This will all become more definite when I reconfigure my time management and stuff, so stay tuned as usual!

hey, congrats on getting the job. It's good to have an income, even if it is time consuming.
