The Broken bond Chapter 1 welcome to the city of angelsIt was 3'o clock in the morning Elias was sleeping peacefully in his warm comfy bed, when suddenly he was woken up by a loud crashing noise from his kitchen. He gasped and whispered softly to him "what the hell was that?" He looked around and went to his closet to get the baseball bat he kept for safety. He knew something or someone was in his house which made him shiver a bit in shock, but he decided to check out the disturbance.
He walked carefully and heard another loud noise this time it sounded like a glass cup shattering into many pieces. He didn't want to use his flashlight at this time, because he knew if he used a flashlight he'll be seen and whatever was in his kitchen would probably attack him or worse kill him. Once he got next to the kitchen he heard two male voices talking about something. Elias decided to crouch so he wouldn't make as much noise and decided to eavesdrop on the males’ conversation. He listened carefully.
"I'm surprised the owner of this house left for a vacation this is the perfect time to rob this fools house" the first male laughed, but then was cut short when the second male slapped him on his muzzle "shut up you moronic hyena we aren’t in the clear yet someone might still be here for all we know" he slaps the second thief again on his muzzle causing him to make a hurt whimper "ow.. Quit hitting me on my muzzle just cause you're a wolf doesn't mean you're the alpha of our little group!"
The second thief growls at the first thief "fine then I'll stop slapping you on your muzzle but you need to shut up already and be quiet;" we don't want to wake up anyone or have the heat on us by the way you've seen Danny anywhere" the first thief asked “he said he was going to go check the Tv room for something worth lots of money” the second thief answered. "oh ok then go check the garage there could be plenty of things there that are worth money" the first thief said "ok I will" the second thief leaves to check the garage.
Elias noticed that the first thief was alone and that it was now his chance to take action he leaves the baseball bat next to the cabinet then gets behind the wolf and strangles him with a chokehold by putting his arm around his neck and moving his arm back making the wolf to struggle as he tries to break free. Suddenly the wolf makes some silent choking and coughing noises then passes out in Elias's grasp his head lying to the side. Elias decides to lay the thief's unconscious body on the ground and then goes to find the other two He Then heads to the garage to find the hyena before the hyena gets the chance to find his fallen comrade or worse Elias's car parked in the garage if Elias's car was to be found the hyena would know he was in the house and it wouldn't be long for the hyena to tell his friends that Elias was in the house. Elias didn't want that to happen so he decided to move as fast as he could to stop the hyena.
Meanwhile the hyena opens the door to the garage and pulls out his phone then turns on his flashlight app then whispers to himself "hmm let's see what this sucker has that is worth some money" the hyena decided to do a sweep of the area looking for things that were worth stealing as he turned to the right he saw Elias's car parked and gasps.
Then turns around and shines his flashlight revealing Elias causing the hyena to growl. "What did you think you were going to do knock me out unconscious and then hide me so my friends don't know?" He snickered “oh please after all my years robbing Houses no one has ever survived a fist fight against me and my friends you're a fool to think you could last a fist fight with me Elias answers the hyena "heh if I could take care of a drunk bastard at a bar I'm pretty sure I could handle you and your stupid friends" he laughs causing the hyena to growl "you're going to regret pissing me off fox" the hyena snarls and gets in fighting position. "Let’s just get this over with I need my sleep" Elias gets in fighting position and snarls as well.
The hyena laughs then takes the first attack striking Elias in his stomach. "Gnn" the hyena laughs “you didn't see that coming at all?" Elias growls then punches the hyena on his cheek causing him to stumble back a little the hyena suddenly tackles Elias and takes a bite out of his shoulder. "Aahh!" He grabs the hyena by his neck and head butts him. "Uurg" the hyena growls in pain then lands three strong punches on Elias's jaw Elias kicks the hyena off of him making the hyena hit a wall then suddenly grabs the hyena by his shirt and puts him against the wall "give up you bastard there's nowhere to go" Elias growls deeply then is suddenly spitted on by the hyena in his eyes " gahh bastard" tries to rub the spit then is suddenly punched in the gut causing him to fall on his knees "ggrrnn!"
The hyena laughs “you are one dumb fox you know that” he grabs Elias and knees him on his side striking his ribs causing Elias to fall “you’re weak fox” Elias trips trip the hyena causing him to land on his back “grrr you bastard I’m going to kill you for that” Elias bites the Hyena’s neck causing him to make a loud whimper in pain. Suddenly the hyena shoves Elias off him then gets Elias by his shirt and growls “that’s it fox” he suddenly knees Elias in his stomach striking him three times with his knee leaving Elias some bruises causing him to fall to the ground weakly.
Elias makes some groans in pain and stands up weakly causing the hyena to growl deeper “how are you still up after that?” Elias suddenly runs then grabs the hyena by his shirt and head butts him so he could have an advantage then grabs the hyena’s head and punches his face three times making the hyena to bleed from his nose "why you" suddenly grabs Elias in a chokehold "I got you now fox" begins to move his arm back choking him. Elias begins to make choking noises causing the hyena to laugh "give up little fox you can't escape from this move" Elias suddenly elbows the hyena just in time before he was about to black out.
The hyena gasps then Elias suddenly punches the hyena on the side of his cheek leaving the hyena a cut that begins to bleed "had enough bastard" the hyena feels a little dizzy and growls one last time before Elias finishes him off “lets end this already” The hyena growls " do it you bastard" he looks up at Elias "you think you have it under control fox you think after all this is over you could be safe I still have my wolf friend to hurt you?” The hyena growls "you aren't safe fox" Elias gives the hyena a questioning look "what how am I not safe?" The hyena laughs "listen fox me and my friend were sent here to find a fox you match the description the boss gave us we were sent to find you and capture you" Elias gasps "me why me I don't even know you guys" the hyena droops his ears .
"I'm also confused fox I don't want to do this job the boss wants us to take you to him so he could do some things I can’t mention them to you cause the boss just pays us to do the job and never tells us the details that's why I told my wolf friend that no one was here" Elias listened to the hyena "then why are you here why couldn't you just leave my house alone?" Elias asked "I was but my wolf friend forced me to come with him he was scared that Danny who left before we arrived here at your house would kill us if we didn’t he had us at gun point so we couldn’t refuse the job” Elias looks at the hyena in suspicion.
The hyena stayed lying on the floor and looked up at Elias in shock "well I guess you're going to call the cops now for burglary of valuables" Elias looked at the hyena then sighed. "N...no I'm not I guess I can let you slip away but on one Condition" the hyena perked his ears for what he heard "what you aren't going to call the cops after everything I did I stole your valuables I tried to kill you" Elias sighed "yes I know but I see you differently then what you call yourself to me you're more of a friendly, caring person you don't like what you do" the hyena looks down at the floor and droops his ears "I...I just want t..To g...go home and be w...With m...My f...Family I'm a married husband for goodness sake...I...have two kids and my wife keeps telling me she wants a third child in our family" he brings out a photo.
"this is my family little fox the two little pups you see those are my kids and the beautiful female you see that's my wife her name is Maya I haven't been able to spend time with her cause of all the jobs my boss has been giving us but this is my last job I'm leaving the pack I'm going to fake my death" Elias gave the picture back to the hyena then asked “what's your name hyena?" The hyena looks at Elias and answers the question" my name is hank Guerra little fox what's your name? “Elias answers his question "my name is Elias Mendez" hank gasps at the name “wait y...You’re Elias Mendez the brother of Dan Mendez the famous fox in Los Angeles?" Elias answered "yes that's me you seemed surprised?"
Hank laughs "of course I'm surprised I'm talking to the legendary Dan Mendes's brother wow I didn't even think he had a brother he told me all about you before I left LA and now I'm actually meeting you in person" the hyena smiled "so Elias why do you bother to live here in New York have you ever thought of moving to Los Angeles with your brother I hear it's a beautiful place to be you'll love it especially if you're looking for a lover the girls there are beautiful that's where I met my beloved Maya" Elias laughs "I am going go there some Time today my brother gave me a call the other day he told me he sent me some plane tickets so I could go visit him for a few days and also maybe he could help me get a house there so we could live close to each other and spend time together as brothers again".
hank smiles "ooo that's nice of your brother well it was nice talking to you Elias you know what lets be friends here" hank gives Elias a piece of paper "what's this for hank?" looks at the piece of paper then back at hank suddenly hank answers " it's my phone number silly you're a cool guy to talk to so I decided we should Hang out as friends and start a fresh start since we met in a bad time but I'm keeping my promise and I'm going to fake my death so the boss thinks I'm dead once you get to LA call me I think you deserve a better thank you hey if you want bring your brother over it’s been a long time since I’ve seen him. then we could have dinner at my house so you could meet my family" Elias smiled "you know what I like that idea hank I wouldn't mind meeting your family" he smiles "well you better leave hank before the cops come I told them that a robbery was made at my house so you can go but your wolf friend is going to the dog house that was my only one condition option." Hank smiled back "thank you Elias I hope to See you again soon in La don't forget to call me so we could hang out sometime" Elias smiles "I won't bye hank it was nice meeting you" hank laughs "bye Elias " he goes out the garage door and runs to a fence and climbs over it then vanishes into the night.
Elias turns the kitchen light on and sees the wolf still unconscious "I wonder who is your boss and why were you looking for me?" Elias asks questionly as he studies the wolf "well I guess that's a question only you know but since I subdued you I'll have to wait till you wake up " Elias here's the police sirens then goes and opens the door for them he sees the warden of the policeman "my name is officer hunter are you Elias the one who called for a robbery taking place" Elias nodded his head "yes sir I did you may come in the robber is unconscious in the kitchen so your job is easier for you" the warden walks into the kitchen "well Elias I can tell you are very protective for your belongings" "yes sir I am when it comes to my belongings" the warden kneels down next to the unconscious wolf and then suddenly signals one of the officers to come and help wake up the wolf .
Elias watches the scene and then sees an officer bring a small bag out then gets next to the wolf and opens the bag. "Here you go warden" the officer gives the warden a small jar. "thank you officer now let’s wake this scum up oh Elias you might want to go wait in the living room this is gonna get crazy" Elias nods his head then goes to the living room and sits on his couch. "I hope they can handle him" he looks at his phone and sees its around 4:00 in the morning "oh my goodness I can't believe this is happening to me I thought it would be better to live here in New York but it turns out I was wrong" sighs and then waits .
Meanwhile the warden and the police officer put the container next to the wolf's nose causing the wolf to twitch then wakes up screaming "what the hell is that horrible smell I'm going to kill you" he gasps as he sees the cops and then officer hunter grabs the wolf and puts his hands behind his back "well,well if it isn't the house thief Julius Derek let me guess did you miss me which is why you committed the crime of robbery" Julius growls at the warden "I'm innocent for goodness sake" the warden ignores Julius "that's what they all say get up scum" Julius stands up and mumbles softly under his breath.
The warden walks off with Julius handcuffed then tell an officer to take Julius to the car outside. The officer nods his head and takes Julius out to the car then the warden waits till Julius and the officer leave before he goes to talk to Elias. Elias hears his front door open then sees the wolf and an officer leave from his house then sees the warden walk towards him "well Elias thanks for your assistance in capturing this scum we can take him from here" the warden offers a handshake "go on don't be shy" Elias gets the warden's hand and they give each other a quick handshake "ooo and Elias I have a feeling me and you will be seeing each other very soon" Elias looks at the warden a little strangely "ooo really well umm I better be prepared then". the warden laughs "you better be" the warden lets go of Elias's hand then walks away "have a wonderful evening or what's left of it till the sun rises" he walks out the door and closes it.
Elias goes to his door and locks it quickly suddenly his phone rings and he answers it "h...hello" he then hears his brother” hey lil brother it's me Dan I just want to check on you did you get the plane tickets yesterday?" Dan asks "why yes I did brother and I'm planning on going to LA today after lunch so I'll be there may be around the evening" he answers "aww really brother I wanted you to come in the morning so I could give you a tour around LA" Elias thinks to himself "I could try the morning but I don't know yet"; "well brother whenever you arrive to your airport call me so I could wait in the airport here in LA to pick you up" Elias yawns " ok brother well I'm going back to bed I woke up very early cause of a disturbance;" "ok lil brother goodnight hope to see you soon don't be a stranger call me whenever you can" Elias laughs "I will big brother don't worry" Dan laughs as well "good well bye brother" Dan says "bye big brother" Elias hangs up and then goes upstairs to his room and lays back down on his bed then closes his eyes and falls asleep.
(8:00 a.m.)
Elias is suddenly woken up by his alarm on his phone, then he grabs his phone and turns off the alarm, after turning off the alarm he stretches his body, After stretching his body he goes to take himself a shower a few minutes later he comes out of the shower, then goes to his closet and dresses up in his favorite clothes he knew today was gonna be a great day for him he didn't have to go to work cause he was on his Christmas vacation which made him quite happy he will be able to go to Los Angeles with his big brother and spend time with him for once ever since their parents passed away, but Alejandro and his brother put that all behind them they knew they couldn't bring back the dead it was time they moved on and continue with their lives.
Elias gets in a taxi and gets a ride to the airport so he could leave to LA and be reunited with his older brother.
Elias arrives at the airport and gets his suitcase out of the taxi's trunk, after he pays the taxi driver; he walks to the airport entrance and is suddenly greeted by the airport security and asked to put all his belongings in a container so it can be inspected. Then the airport security tells him to walk through a metal detector so he could be checked.
Elias walks through the metal detector and then is suddenly given the ok signal to pass and collect his belongings. He decides to go collect his belongings and approach the person behind the counter and tells them all about why he’s here in the airport “hello ma’am my name is Elias Mendez I’m here to catch the next flight to LA I’ve already got my ticket and passport;” “when is the next flight to La part?” Elias tilts his head in question and looks at the employee. “let’s see Mr. Mendez it turns out the next flight to LA is going to be available to board in 6 minutes I will just need your ticket and passport real quickly if you don’t mind;” “no I don’t mind at all here you go” he gives his passport and ticket to the employee and waits for it.
(A few minutes pass)
“Thank you Mr. Mendez you are all set enjoy your trip to LA now” the employee gives Elias back his passport and ticket. “thank you ma’am have a nice day” he collects his ticket and passport then walks to the gate where the plane is to be so he could get his seat and enjoy his flight.
(After boarding his plane and finding his seat Elias decides to call his brother).
*While waiting for his brother to answer he finally hears his brother say hello and then he speaks* “hey big brother it’s me Elias I’m already headed to LA” Dan chuckles on the other line “well little brother I didn’t think you would be able to come to LA don’t you work today” Elias laughs. “No big brother I don’t work today I’m already on my vacations for the holidays;” “so what better vacation then to spend it with my big brother over there in LA for Christmas” Elias says in a happy tone “well little brother I’m going to get ready so I could pick you up and help you with your luggage and stuff like that can’t wait to see you”; “can’t wait to see you too big brother bye”; “bye little brother”.
* Elias hangs up and makes a soft sigh then is approached by a female fox who seems to be lost in finding her seat* “hello there” the female speaks shyly “umm I need help finding my seat do you know where seat number C7 is?” she looks at him a little embarrassed. “I know it’s a stupid question but this is my first flight I’ve ever been on...” Elias speaks caringly “no it’s ok this is my first flight too...” the vixen speaks in surprise “ooo thank goodness I thought I was the only one that’s never been on a plane before” he smiles. “well let me help you with finding your seat may I see your ticket please” she nods and passes her ticket to Elias and he begins to read his ticket and notices his ticket says C6 “well it looks like you are gonna be able to get to know me more cause your seat is here next to me!” he gives her ticket back “ooo my really wow” she giggles “yeah you can look at my ticket if you think I’m lying”.
the vixen looks at him In question “hmm maybe I will take a look at your ticket just for the fun of it”; “go ahead I won’t stop you” he laughs then lets the vixen look at his ticket “oh wow you really are telling the truth you are on seat C6 and the one next to you is my seat;” “well then we are gonna be flight buddies during this whole flight; I don’t mind we could get to know each other if you aren’t shy” she smiles then Elias blushes faintly. “sure I don’t mind at all” he smiles and the vixen takes her seat next to him “so let’s start with introductions shall we” the vixen says in question “sure my name is Elias” offers his paw then the vixen grabs his paw “my name is Joy” she speaks in a happy tone. “Joy what a nice name I’ve never heard anyone with a name like that before so Joy what is your business in LA like why are you going to LA vacation, family?” he tilts his head in question then Joy makes a giggle and then answers. “well vacation and family of course I want to spend my Christmas with my family in LA they haven’t seen me for a while so I decided to be reunited with my parents that gave birth to me” she smiles softly.
“so Elias why are you headed towards LA” she looks at him “well my reason is the same as yours I want to spend time with my oldest brother who lives in LA he was the one who sent me the ticket so I could be on this flight right now me and him haven’t seen each other for quite a while so I’m heading to LA to join him for Christmas” he makes a soft sigh “me and my brother would of spent Christmas with our parents but they’re no longer with us” he droops his ears in sadness.
“ooh my sorry to hear that Elias” Joy pats Elias’s back caringly “it’s ok Elias I’m sure your parents are in a better place now; just cause they’re gone doesn’t mean they aren’t with you right now your parents love and care will always be with you no matter what and do you want to know why?”.
Elias looks at her in question then speaks softly “why Joy?” she looks at him “it’s cause all your parent’s love and care is right here” Joy points her finger to his chest “in your heart and your parents will always be there in your heart no matter what you will never lose the love and care your parents had for you and your brother” she smiles softly at him then he hugs her while making a whimper. “oh Perla I just can’t help it I miss my parents so much it hurts me” Joy gasps softly then scratches the back of Elias’s ear “shh, shh it’s ok Elias just relax and listen to what I said you will get over it soon don’t worry everyone gets through stuff like this I’ve seen it happen before” Elias stops hugging Joy then looks out the window.
“you’re right Joy it’s time I get over it and relax I need to focus more on the present” he sighs then hears the pilot say that they’re arriving at LA and for everyone to prepare for landing “did you hear that Perla we are arriving at LA now” he looks at Joy. “Yeah I did Elias hey umm I know this might be awkward but umm… I kind of don’t want this flight to end”; “huh what do you mean Joy” he looks at her “well Elias I think it was fun to hang out with you and talk to you I’ve never felt so comfy with a male fox before in my life but it was like me and had a connection what I’m trying to say is I was wondering if you’d like to hang out with each other sometime” she looks at him and tilts her head in question “hmm you know what Joy I wouldn’t mind hanging out with you I felt comfy with you as well” he smiles “aww really you would Elias?”.
she smiles softly “yeah Joy we actually had a very good chat going and we do have some things in common as well I would hate for this flight to end and we can’t see each other; when we know we could actually make such great friends” Joy suddenly hugs Elias. “ooh Elias this is such great news for me I would like us to hang out; “hey do you have a phone Elias” she looks into his eyes “yes I do Joy here it is “he reveals his phone to her “well then” she grabs his phone unsuspectingly and tries to go in it but notices it’s locked with a password*“hmm what is your password?”
Elias takes his phone back and then unlocks it for Joy causing her to be curious and tries to peek at his phone “hmm that is a very complicated password you got there Elias!” he gasps after he hears Joy talk to him about his password “what the?” he notices Joy peeking over his shoulder staring at his phone. “Ha this vixen isn’t as dumb as she looks I am still a fox and we are known for our slyness Elias” he laughs “very funny Joy here” he gives his phone to her. “Thanks Elias now let’s see.” Joy begins to type her phone number on Elias’s phone “hmm what are you doing Joy?” he looks at her while she messes with his phone “oh you’ll find out Elias just wait for a little while please”; “ok Joy I’ll wait then” Joy finishes typing and then gives Elias back his phone. “Here you go Elias I gave you my phone number so we could hang out sometime I also got your phone number too because I want to know who it is when you call” she smiles at him.
They both notice everyone is leaving their seats and unboarding the plane “well I guess it’s time we get off the plane now Joy?” Joy nods her head and begins to get off her seat and waits for Elias “come on silly let’s go!” Elias laughs then gets both his and Perla’s luggage out of the holders in the plane. “here you go Joy I believe this is your stuff” Joy laughs “aww you’re such a gentlemen Elias~” Elias blushes faintly then he gives the luggage to her and gets his luggage and begins to walk with her out of the plane “so Joy you have someone to pick you up?” he looks at Joy in question. “Why yes my sister is going to pick me up she lives here in LA with her boyfriend.” she smiles “oh ok Joy.”
he sees a well-dressed arctic fox waving at him from the crowd holding a white board with Elias’s name on it “well Joy I need to go it looks like my ride is here for me” Joy droops her ears and then looks at him sadly “aww do you have to go Elias I wanted to talk a little more to you.” he hugs Perla “aww don’t worry Joy we will hang out again” Joy makes a soft purr in comfort as she gets hugged by Elias. “ok Elias don’t forget to call me whenever you want to hang out I wouldn’t mind but remember I’m trying to spend time with my family as well too;” “sure thing Joy I understand you haven’t seen your family for a long time;” “aww thanks Elias hope you and your brother have a very good day oh look my rides here” she hugs Elias then she leaves.
Elias makes a soft sigh of comfort and goes to the well-dressed arctic fox and is suddenly greeted by him “why hello little brother” he gasps at who it is. “Dan is that you oh my goodness you look different.” Eli laughs “yup little brother it’s me I wanted to surprise you which is why I didn’t call your phone to tell you I was here for you already” Elias laughs. “well brother you did surprise me especially that suit surprised me as well you must be very successful to claim a suit like that” Dan laughs “well little brother once you find out what you really want in life you will be able to be successful and claim things that you most want” Elias looks at him “really big brother?;” “of course little brother how do you think I’ve been able to afford things that you know are very expensive;” “like those plane tickets I sent you by mail so you could visit me”.
“Oh my you have been very successful then I wonder how you get all your money to afford expensive things?” he looks at Dan in suspicion “that little brother is not ready to be presented to you yet now let’s enjoy our day and have some good quality time as brothers just like the good old days;” “hey are you hungry little brother?” Elias nods his head. “Well then little brother let’s get out of here and go eat I know a good place where we can eat our favorite Italian food”; “oh really big brother well then let’s go then” he smiles.
(They both take off from the airport and go to Dan’s car.)
(A few minutes of walking pass by. Then they finally reach Dan’s car)
Elias looks at Dan’s car in amazement then turns to Dan “wow big brother is that your car over there? It looks very nice” he points to the car then sees his brother smile “yes little brother that is my car over there and thanks the car cost me a fortune just to buy it” Elias looks at him questionly. “It c…cost you a fortune h…how you even get your money to buy a car like this?!” Eli chuckles and pats his head “you have a lot to learn before I tell you all the serious stuff about me little brother;” “now just put your stuff in the trunk and hop in the passenger’s seat so we can go eat already” Elias makes a sigh and crosses his arms. “uhh…fine then big brother but I hope you aren’t doing anything bad to get all this money you know how I look up to you and you even promised me you wouldn’t do anything bad after what happened to our parents.” He turns away and then gets his watch, his parents gave him before they passed away.
Dan looks at his little brother and droops his ears “if they were still with us they’ll be very happy for us and amazed at how different we became;” “yeah they would be big brother especially at how different you became;” “ooh lil brother you are such a positive brother and I’m glad you are my lil brother;” “I missed having you by my side lil brother you always cheered me up whenever I had a horrible day;” “that’s what makes you special lil brother you can cheer anyone up no matter what they’ve been through” Dan pats Elias’s head and smiles.
After a few minutes of driving they reach the restaurant and get off Dan’s car. Once they go in the restaurant they are greeted by an employee and go to find a seat and wait for the employee to take their orders and menus. After a few minutes their waiter comes and gives them the menus and asks for their drinks they want. “Why hello there my name is Amanda I’ll be your waitress tonight what would you too like to drink this fine evening?” Elias looks at the menu then orders his drink “I’ll take the lemonade please;” “ok one lemonade and how bout for you sir” she looks at Dan “I’ll take the sweet tea please and add some extra sugar to it if you don’t mind?” “Ok you two I’ll be right back with both of your drinks” she smiles then she walks away.
Elias looks at Dan “wow brother this is a very nice place do you eat here often or you got other restaurant’s you like here in LA?” “well little brother LA is a big place so I have more than one favorite restaurant here so yeah this is not my only favorite restaurant;” “I have about I say a list of the top 10 favorite restaurants here in LA” their waitress comes back and places the drinks on the table. “here are your drinks gentleman now are you two ready for me to take your orders” Amanda brings out her notepad and pen then looks at Dan “so what would you like to order sir;” “I’ll take the BBQ plate with chicken and sausage please?” “ok sir one BBQ plate with chicken and sausage would you like bread with it;” “yes please and make sure it’s white bread” Amanda nods her head then turns to Elias “for you sir what would you like tonight;” Elias puts down the menu “I’ll take the spaghetti plate and may I have the garlic bread with it please?” “ok so you two ordered one BBQ chicken and sausage plate with white bread and one spaghetti plate with garlic bread am I right?” Elias and Dan nod their heads then Amanda smiles “I’ll be back with your orders in a bit we will bring you appetizers for now” Amanda walks away then Elias looks at Dan and they begin to talk about everything they did when they were small to how they are doing right now.
A few minutes pass by while Dan and Elias catch up with each other on how they’ve been through all these months and years then their waitress comes with their orders and places them on the table. “Here you go you two sorry for the wait our chefs had a lot of orders to take care of but here you go these are your orders fresh from our kitchen here in LA’s fallen angel restaurant;” “now enjoy your entrees and I’ll take your coats and put them right here on our coat hanger if you two don’t mind?” Elias looks at Dan then turns his head toward Amanda then hears Dan speak before he could say anything “no we don’t mind at all Amanda” he gives his and Elias’s coat to Amanda then she grabs the coats and places them on the coat hanger for both of them so they could enjoy their food and not get their coats dirty. “There you go you two enjoy here’s your bill just come to the front desk and you can pay there for your meal” she makes a friendly smile then goes to another table to help out a couple “Dan you didn’t tell me that the people here are so kind” Dan laughs “of course I didn’t I wanted to surprise you with this restaurant.”
Elias smiles at Dan “well I got to say big brother you surprised me with this restaurant; I like it thanks for bringing me here to eat” Dan pats Elias’s head and laughs “hey I wanted to be nice to my little brother and give him a warm welcome” he smiles at his little brother and then finishes his plate then he cleans all the BBQ sauce from his mouth “so little brother what did you think of the food?” Elias finishes wiping all the meat sauce off his face and then looks at Dan “well big brother I got to say this food is very good no wonder why you come here to eat” he smiles and finishes wiping his mouth “I’m glad you enjoyed it little brother” he checks his watch “well we better get to my house we need to get you unpacked and settled in if you want to enjoy your vacation here with me and my family”.
They both get their coats and begin to walk to the front counter to pay their bill for their orders. After a few minutes paying the bill they leave the restaurant and head to Dan’s house to help get Elias unpacked and settled in. after a 2 hour drive they finally arrive at Dan’s house and Dan parks his car in his garage then shakes Elias politely so he could wake up. “Hey little brother get up we’re here already” he hears Elias make a groan and sees him wake up. “You are very tired I can tell let’s get you unpacked and settled in to the guest room then you can go ahead and sleep peacefully.” Elias nods his head then gets off the car and goes to the back of the car and sees his brother unlock the trunk and help him get his luggage. “I’ll close the trunk Elias you can carry your luggage” Dan closes the car trunk then locks his car’s doors.
“now let’s get you to the guest room cause I need my sleep too” he yawns and then opens the door for Elias and walks with him to his house’s staircase and takes him to the guest room where the bed is perfectly made. “this is where you can stay and sleep for as long as you want little brother well I guess it’s time you sleep you can unpack tomorrow if you want; well good night little brother” Elias looks at Eli and nods his head then rests his head on the pillow. “Good night Elias and one more thing welcome to the city of angels.” Dan leaves the room then closes the door behind him.
After Dan leaves the room Elias gets his stuff unpacked and hangs his clothes in the closet door of the guest room and puts his luggage under the bed. Then decides to get his sleeping clothes and lays on the guest bed and make a soft sigh in comfort as he covers himself up with the blankets after covering himself up he closes his eyes and peacefully falls asleep.
