Hmmm well pal it's a very good question. The thing is I'm not sure neither. I think who ahem “like” toon figures is a furry too not just who like the furry animal toons. Maybe. I don't know. BUT HEY! WHO CARES!! You are OK. heheh =)
yes you are a furry artist
Dot is not human she is a animal
but if you draw other cartoon (Human) too maybe you are a artist porn too
but you make more furry art i think you are a Cartoon artist porn not just furry
Dot isn't an animal. If she was, then we would know what kind of animal. Considering we don't, then she is no more animal than a human, and then so does not fit into a "furry" category.
I must kindly disagree; anthropomorphic iterations of other made-up critters (dragons, gryphons, etc.) are accepted as furry characters, and I find Warners to be no less valid than those. Well, personally. =P
yeah it's for that i say CARTOON PORN ARTIST
but i know a thing she is not a human
she look more a animal the ears, nose, tail ect...
what animal i know no any body know ^^;
One thing of "furry" is that they must have fur. What, then, of sea creatures, reptiles, and birds? Would you still be considered "furry" if you've ever drawn them?
I find you to be a multifaceted artist, my friend, as you've drawn quite the collection of characters, both past and present. To say that you're "furry" would only be looking at one solid part of your art, not noticing the rest.
So, yes and no, my friend. Though you have drawn Dot quite a bit, and seeing as how she just may be considered furry in a technical sense, you can't be fully known as one because of the other workings that you've done.
This is all just my opinion, though. I hope I managed to help in some way.
Never did I consider myself a furry despite my numerous pics (but I've done much, much more that aren't), and now that you make me think about it, I don't think you are either.
Anyway, definition of being furry is VERY imprecise, so the best definition for me is... If you feel you are one, then you are one, if you don't feel, well you are not.
That all depends on your point of veiw on the situation. ^_^
The main point of view is that if you draw "Furry Art" This makes you a furry.
Which is totally untrue- That's akin to so saying "If you draw landscapes you're a tree." or that "If you draw automobiles you're a car."
It can be used however in the sense of "If you draw cartoons you're a cartoonist" however, so it would be more like "If you draw furry art, you're a furry artist."
I'd stick to "if you draw porn you're a pervert" in this case. Which suits me just fine. ^_^
One point of view is that being 'furry' is to the fandom what being 'otaku' is to anime - A level of fandom best left unobtained, falling just short of an unhealthy obsession to the Nth degree. It is in this sense, that most people go "No, I'm not a furry, thank jeebus."
This is a pretty big grey area - People may say you're furry, even though you may not be in your own mind. Like nerds. Some are proud, others are beaten upon by jocks.
You could also reffer to being furry as "Living the furry lifestyle". Which I have no idea what the heck that means, as I didn't know furry was a lifestyle to begin with. O-o;
So... yeah, unless you've an answer to what "livin' furry" might be, I'd think it's safe to say no.
You could also see it on a spiritual level, Beleiving that you've the soul of an animal trapped inside the flesh of a mere mortal human, or what not. But I dunno if they'd call it being furry. In such a case, I'd think it falls under similar lines to a religion - you've got to put at least a little effort into being of that faith, so it's not something you do on accident.
(Although for some reson accidental religon sounds funny to me. XD)
As far as I am concerned- just because you draw, look at, or even get off to furry art, it doesn't make you 'a furry'. It's a decision you have to make conciously.
It's sorta like being Gay. No one can point at you and go "hey, you're gay!" and have it be absolutely true. You yourself have to go "Hey, I'm gay!" to make it so.
So, unless being furry means something extra to you that makes saying "I'm a furry" of some sort of personal signifigance, then you're not a furry.
As for Dot, she couldn't be a furry - as she's not any specific sort of animal that I've ever heard of. Unless cute is an animal now. ^_^
i think i read a little on the lifestyle thing. it was what you said in the next paragraph, about believing they are really an animal or an animal spirit inside of them. some even can transform or something. O_O;
before I read anyone else comments, no Dot is a toon. She is furry but she's more targeted to humans then to furries. You draw her as if her black body has no fur on it, so she's not really furry the way you draw her. The tail and the tuffs on her head are her hair.
Yes Dot is Furry art because she is not human and of some sort of animal descent. No you are not a furry unless you dress up in an animal costume and commune (or have sex).
No... I think of you as more of a toon artist. Like with me... I like toons (mostly A!) but the idea of actual furs... I really don't like the idea of. I think you're the same way?... Maybe not. I don't know! =P
You CAN draw toons and not be a furry. You CAN draw Dot, Minerva, Duck Tales, and others without being a furry..... but it helps. :D
Since Dot is an...... anthropormorasized animal of sorts, she can count as a furry, but first and foremost, she's a too. And you arn't a furry unless you consider yourself a furry.
Nyah I'd consider you more of a toon artist as the characters stay relatively close to they're origional designs.
Though I wouldn't be in dissagreement if someone called you a furry having looked through your gallery. Most toon's are animals and the warners certainly do look like they are some sort of animal.
Though really for me, the definition of furries has SOMETHING to do with being a pervert. X3 Or at least being able to admit something like t hat. I consider anyone that draws anthros but tries to act high and mighty, and like pretend that they don't draw porn, or worse, actualy don't draw porn, to be anthro more so than furry.
While a furry would be someone who is a bit more into the fandom and probably a bi tmore liberated sexualy or just being a little bit open minded.
However those are my personal assumptions/definitions.
Am I a furry? or a furry artist? I'd like to think not D:
Dot is not human she is a animal
but if you draw other cartoon (Human) too maybe you are a artist porn too
but you make more furry art i think you are a Cartoon artist porn not just furry
but i know a thing she is not a human

But from my view, yes. Anyone who is aroused by art like yours (or mine) is a furry!
But that brings up a good question... can Dot be considered a furry? or even a "funny animal"? She's not exactly a -specific- animal...
Anyway, definition of being furry is VERY imprecise, so the best definition for me is... If you feel you are one, then you are one, if you don't feel, well you are not.

*draws a lone tree on a hill*
Hey look, im One Tree Hill! XD

Toons are toons, they be what we want them to be.
Since Dot is an...... anthropormorasized animal of sorts, she can count as a furry, but first and foremost, she's a too. And you arn't a furry unless you consider yourself a furry.
Furry + toon= 93983123e823839837189739719833121hy21y321931913712983.....
Hummmmm! Yahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! My brain hurts!
It's only furry if you call her Furry! No other answer! :) Now how about some porn! Is porn porn if you use furries?????? Hehehehehe!
Though I wouldn't be in dissagreement if someone called you a furry having looked through your gallery. Most toon's are animals and the warners certainly do look like they are some sort of animal.

and dot is your goddess. worship her now. XD
