Summer Plans
From this day and onward, I will be setting Rem into highest of priorities. I will be attempting at my fullest efforts to progress the development of that game project.
I will also try to get commissions finished off while my free time is at its biggest. Overall, don't expect me to draw much this summer, as my focus goes mainly to Rem this time.
A great friend of mine is saving up and to buy a newer laptop that I can work with, rather than this old one I still use even by this date. The main purpose of this laptop is to speed up my progression upon Rem's development.
Also to mention, I just found out about and played through Cave Story last week. That game is really awesome and a great inspiration. I've already started my minimal items playthrough yesterday. Even after going through so many deaths, this game still continues to keep me addicted.

It's a shame I can't access your website, because I'm kinda interested in reading more about this. I haven't played a lot of good games lately. The last thing I played that I consider "excellent" is Iji, and it was released in September last year.
Hm, well visiting xat isn't too vital. Though, you can visit the /rem/ board and the official website (http://bio-rem.110mb.com), correct? The game itself could use more beta testers, as I am going to give my best efforts to complete this game at its best.
So when's the next version coming up? I believe I already played 3.9 some months ago.

Strafing is a good idea, though it doesn't solve my problem with speed since you still have to stop when you swing. Double tapping the arrow keys to change direction is a bit difficult. I would suggest increasing the duration in which a second tap counts as a double tap. I often tried to change direction unsuccessfully while strafing because I didn't tap it fast enough.
I found a lot of healing syringes in the level but the hit points gained from each syringe is very small, which means you'll be going through syringes like a drug addict if you sustain serious injuries. I suggest increasing hit points gained from each syringe and decreasing the amount of syringes. The net result is the same but you won't have to use as many items.
Looking forward to further development!
I've taken your considerations of the double-tapping strafing and syringe recovery issue and they have indeed helped.
I've got the next beta testing up, ready for more testing. You can check out the recent modifications and try out the newest weapon, the Spear, the game's first gun.
