People who deny history deny truth. They would rather live with comfortable lies that don't challenge them.

The history of mankind is pretty harsh all the way around dear one - and I don't think that's going to change any time soon. In my heart there is a peaceful place and I try to go there as much as possible.

I will never stop being ashamed of the atrocities that my race has committed. No, I do suffer from "white guilt", as other whites are so eager to label me with, but what I do have is anger and sorrow. It really says a lot about how I'm shamed by my own race for even acknowledging the horrible shit that we've done.
