It depends on what you're looking for: it's a pure multiplayer game, so if you don't have friends who play or don't want to play with random people of varying skill you may be better off getting something with a single-player campaign (Battleborn being a good alternative, since that has more single-player options than just regular matches with bots).
If you do like multiplayer FPS games, then it's pretty easy to pick up if you've played them before. It has a bigger focus on team composition, which can be a good or bad thing based on your preferences: Compared to TF2 it's much harder to solo carry with a single skilled player (though still possible), but it's easier to win if your team has a good setup, especially since it's easier to keep track of your allies and what they might be doing. It's a game that encourages playing as many different characters as possible so that you can adapt to whatever is going on, rather than mastering one or two and wrecking face.
I can help with any questions if you want to know anything specific, but otherwise that's more or less what you can expect from Overwatch. If that sounds interesting I'd say it's plenty worth it, because I've been enjoying myself quite a bit and the community is still growing; but if you want something that rewards individual skill better, or offers single-player options, you might want to look elsewhere.
I think I´ll buy overwatch, I´m not very intersted in Battleborn.
If I buy it, could you help me, I haven´t played TF2 in a long time.
Is it ok if I add you as a friend in battle.net?
You can add me if you'd like, though I'm usually playing with friends. And rest assured the game is pretty easy to get into; I had taken a long break from FPS games for a while and I was able to get back again after playing for a little bit.
It might also be working asking some of your friends if they have the game or checking out others who play, because from personal experience I find the game a lot better when playing with others and having multiple options would be good.

I have some frinds playing overwatch so that wouldn't be a problem, but I'm going to buy overwatch on monday, so I'll see you there.
I can see some similarities between this and tf2, but it's not the same, sure there are some characters like medic or soldier but in waifu version. =P
I can't be more satisfied with my purchase, thanks for the advise.
