KaevielEff back again; hopefully I won't be manning Joe's journal for too much longer. Today, as I announced last night, was Joe's surgery to help deal with the infection... He had a rough night before - he was so anxious and worried he didn't sleep. But on the bright side, Joe wasn't alone all day or for his surgery; Kristen has managed to get time off for FMLA, and she was with him most of the day. And his surgery went well - but he is undeniably tired and his leg hurts in new, different ways.

So, if all goes as planned, Joe comes home sometime tomorrow afternoon. Fingers crossed that he has no fever until 2PM tomorrow, and Kristen can bring him back home at last. We're all ready for him to come back - Joe more so than anyone else. Don't expect him online right after he gets back, though - he has A LOT of sleep to catch up on.
