I had been plannin on putting in my resignation in the middle of the month cuz I wanted to finish my refugee cases, but the boss lost her fukken mind yesterday.
She decided that asking innocent questions about cases when bombarded with a busy office is UNACCEPTABLE and must have passive-aggressive comments as the default response while subtly threatening someone will take my position for DARING to ask a legitimate question. I thought this was ridiculous and unpressional of her, especially since she did it in front of clients.
I was planning on telling the office manager, but then she decided to flip her shit over being mad that I did something she told me to do (???) and was essentially angry I didn't read her mind.
So I was like 'ok i am gonna give my resignation letter to you tomorrow' to theoffice manager and he was like 'yeah no i get why your'e doing this' and then i get a message later that she wants me to resign immediately
???!!!! so you screwed over your refugees who have been ignored by you for months and i've made mor headway with in two weeks than you ever have and then spite them AGAIN by not letting me finish the cases.
I MEAN. OKAY? I think it's unprofessional and stupid and I hope you get a hella bad BAR complaint over it BUT WHATEVER FUCK THAT PLACE I'M FREE.

(1) No good deed goes unpunished. Beneficial actions often go unappreciated or are met with outright hostility. If they are appreciated, they often lead to additional requests.
(2) The beatings will continue until morale improves.
(3) We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.
Try not to let this get you down. Although I feel bad for the refugees who have to deal with these people.

I think we're in all three. Some not necessarily against me, but definitely against other employees. I can say, that coming out of this dumbs thing, number 3 actually makes me feel good about myself ahaha.
I won't! I do feel really bad I couldn't wrap up my work, but I think I did enough that any idiot could plug in the remaining missing information and be done with it and I can know that it was my work that got them their status. Thanks for the support!

well you know, with the looney mentality that's really been taking over running things, and i hope obviously, i'm not talking about the 'liberal' side of it either, i'm not surprised by this sort of thing.
only that the people who do pull that kind of shit, are kept on at all.
we've had creepingly more of this kind of crap ever since raygun.

i ran into that, just washing dishes in a resteraunt concession in a federal building.
i would have thought, how much less political then that can there be,
but even there.
The boss brands herself as being generous and kind, which, she is with her money (Which I believe is the easiest way of being generous and kind, especially when you have lots of it like she does), but because of greed has taken on way too much work and has completely ignored people in her search for "kindness" and "generosity". It's sad in a way, but frustrating because she should be able to recognize her dumbassery after all this time of being told what she's doing and how it's not working out. SIGH.
