Need Help with Wii U

For anyone who owns a Wii U, and has had it for a while...I could really use your assistance with mine. Not too long ago, the red light turned orange/yellow (I do keep my Wii U connected to the internet wired) and it was this way for days on end. But now, whenever I turn the gamepad on, it won't connect to my console. My console does turn on when I turn on the pad, but it won't connect to it. Does anybody on here have any solutions? Thank you

Perhaps it needs to be calibrated again to your wiiU. You might need to turn on your WiiU from the Power button on the console, then you press the Red Sync button on your WiiU and then your WiiU gamepad. It should get the two to sync.
