so, first I would like to say that I used to identify as homosexual, but for me that never seemed to fit perfectly for me. Though I like men, for me the genitals of said man are irrelevant. I find myself sexually attracted to trans and intersex men, as much as I am attracted to cis men. And not in a fetishized way commonly associated with these type of feelings towards trans and intersex men. (i.e. cunt-boy fetishes and the offensive terminology used to name the fetish) I have discovered that I am not necessarily attracted to a penis, but that I am attracted to masculinity, and for me, the idea of a man lacking male genitalia is not emasculating. The idea of it being emasculating is why its fetishized, its as if that by them having female genitalia they are somehow naturally submissive to a natural male, which is not only indirectly sexist, but very diminishing towards people with these types of bodies. A trans or intersex male can be just as virile as a cis male.

So, finally I come to how I identify sexually. I identify as Androsexual now. I find myself not attracted to people of the same sex as me, instead I am attracted to those who are outwardly masculine, so this includes those who look and/or identify as male. Androsexual is much more fitting of my sexuality than a term like homosexual, as homosexual implies that I, a cis male, am attracted to only other cis males. Homosexuality does not fit my sexuality as I understand it.
