8 Facts - Alice, Xenia, Persephone, Calypso

Scribbling nonsense all across the board like jaguars leaping from trees of leather bodices encasing aged withered corpses whose eyes dazzle with the light of one million and three silver satellites flying over Los Angeles hiding illegal immigrants from Irish potato farms built atop the golden ruins of El Dorado filled with demonic Ewoks hurling tremendous tankards of tons of Tylenol at the panda bear ninjas that hide around every corner of the magic square building trying desperately to pull up its skirt and set roots on another cubic square inch of the board upon which I am scribbling nonsense.
Well
blazekoopa tagged me, and then I realized that
gravityinbound had also tagged me a long time ago around the same time
da-end did, who had also made another suggestion on the previous journal alongside
kurohachuurui So we've got a quadruple threat journal here in the end.
Just getting straight on to the business.
Alice Mordelle

http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13600209/
1) I can't remember if there was any particular reason behind the name Alice. Her last name though is based on the Latin "mordere" meaning "to bite" and I slapped on the "-elle" just because it sounded nice.
2) Alice is my only character aside from Non to have an openly detailed family: her mother (Joan, maiden name Polytia, a Garchomp, former league champion who abruptly rose to fame as a rookie), father (Alan, a Nidoqueen, gentle and soft-spoken, accustomed to being the stay-at-home parent), younger sister (Claire, Gabite or maybe Garchomp by now, jealous of Alice, has breast implants), and brother (Patrick, Nidorino, looked up to Joan and Alice but resents how they've "neglected" him by being away or leaving home).
3) Alice grew up simultaneously eager to follow in the steps of her mother and being spoiled by her father's gourmet cooking. In high school, she was easily the largest applicant for the amateur league combat team, between her burgeoning figure and blossoming bosom, while at the same time there was an equally large Skarmory performing on the cheerleading team, which was how Alice and Margaret first met each other.
4) After high school Alice went to a college where she could major in professional league combat (basically PCA but not really). During this time she also came to know Neil, and they teased at a relationship for a time before settling for simply being friends, and they've been workout partners ever since.
5) Alice graduated at the top of her class, but after college she struggled to actually find a team or sponsor willing to accept her because of her unorthodox size. It was then that Margaret contacted her regarding a sudden surge in heavyweight teams in Goldenrod where she lived, and so she moved there, and eventually she found herself accepted into the Finest Fatties.
6) Presumably somewhere during this time Non met Alice and fell in love with her immediately in an incident which resulted in him inadvertently tearing her top off and receiving a retaliatory kick in the dick.
7) A lot of Alice and Margaret's time together is spent going around the city, dancing in clubs, eating out at restaurants, or playing videogames (Margaret usually wins). Margaret always goes to watch Alice's fights, and sometimes Alice tries to teach Margaret combat techniques. Although Alice has been growing increasingly distressed by Margaret's antics and attempts to woo her, sometimes (often after some alcohol) she'll give in and indulge her fantasies.
8) There was a time when I thought it might be feasible for Alice to drive a car, but at this point I don't think that's an option anymore.
Xenia
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12349451/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19433293/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18665134/
1) Xenia is derived from the Greek Ξενία, which is the virtue of being hospitable to guests. Presumably this isn't actually any name that she originally had, rather one that was given to her by someone she knew.
2) Except maybe for Daily Preparations, none of the stories I've written thus far about Xenia can really be considered canon, especially all the ones with the self-insert Milotic, they've all just been generic spur-of-the-moment things to fulfill particular needs.
3) Xenia's life energy manipulation powers have a variety of applications (see down below for example) which she has grown to learn over years of experience and experimentation. She greatly enjoys using them for the pleasure they can bring, although a part of this lies in a need to comfort herself after her past.
4) I thought of Xenia having two consorts, a Sylveon named Oona and a Gardevoir (tentatively) named Hestia. Both of them would have originally been males who were transformed into their current form after a meeting with her gone awry. Oona had been a disrespectful Flareon who was transformed as a punishment; Hestia's is less certain (I don't feeling like just having her be a Gallade) but I thought hers would be more melancholy and Xenia was giving her something new to live for.
5) I'm not entirely certain on the reason that Xenia got involved with Kabiyou, originally it was just because they were together on my team in X. I can only imagine it's because Oona heard of her team and wanted to get involved with it so Xenia followed along to make sure she didn't get in trouble, Hestia acted as a medic.
6) I had big plans for a story series which would be about Alice and Xenia's first meeting with each other, introduced to each other at a big fashion conference which Nefertari and Kabiyou brought them to which eventually escalates into the two of them pitted into a fight together. Ultimately and rather effortlessly this leads to Xenia defeating Alice, which leads to her becoming jealous and longing to have a rematch. This would also be the more formal introduction of Alice's Mega form.
7) Oh boy, and then there're the plans I had for Xenia's origins, a vast epic fantasy story which mostly focused on various legendary Pokemon and their place in the modern world after the days of glory for them and their species have been a long time ago. The idea was largely inspired from The Last Unicorn after I finished reading it, and it would for the most part be non-fetishy, with Xenia starting out completely thin instead of fat. I've been kicking the concept around for nearly two years now and I only have about four pages to show for it.
8) Did you know Xenia owns a shop in Athens? I was surprised too!
(I probably could have put an actual fact here, something more specific from her backstory, but I'm hesitant about spoiling too much of it.)
Persephone Haidem
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14301127/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13532634/
1) I have never been entirely certain on Persephone's name, I feel like it ought to be something different, but nothing else ever really feels appropriate enough either, I guess the name's already stuck too much.
2) I came to realize as I was developing Persephone that Hydreigon poses a bit of a problem because of how it evolves from Zweilous. I don't really know any way to logically work out the fact that the Deino line goes from having one head, to two heads, then back to one. Persephone was meant to have one head develop into a more aggressive personality, which now manifests in the form of her violent side.
3) Speaking of which, Persephone has a violent side which hasn't really manifested in any stories thus far, when she gets pushed too far she becomes animalistic and attacks anyone around her, which makes her a lot more physically capable than she would be normally.
4) Persephone is most characterized by being the character most heavily hindered by her size, as almost all of my other heavyweight characters are far more physically fit, which is largely a result of her eating more than exercising. And not having the benefit of operating on cartoon logic like Margaret.
5) Said overeating is something of an obsession for Persephone, she frequently gets overwhelmed by her urge to eat despite knowing that she ought to be cutting back.
6) Persephone lives with a roommate who as of yet hasn't really been developed at all, probably someone who studied with her in college or some such, who assist a great deal with Persephone's daily activities as there are many things which she can't do at her size, and also plays a large role in facilitating her eating urges.
7) I wanted to have a story which would be about Persephone having to confront her gluttonous unhealthy side with the threat that she was at risk of being kicked out of the Finest Fatties - basically losing her only job. Among other things this would serve to be a lot of bonding between Persephone and Dimitri as the latter works on getting her into shape.
8) In conjunction with the above story concept, I had debated if Persephone ought to have her weight cut down to a far more manageable size. Ultimately I didn't do that, but I'm not really sure overall where to go with her character development.
Calypso
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14885243/
https://www.dropbox.com/s/c328vinn5.....Beach.jpg?dl=0
1) The name Calypso is derived from Greek mythology, the name of the witch Calypso who tempted men to come to her abode and turned them into animals. Appropriate, given her debut story. (Edit: Turns out I was wrong on this, I was thinking of Circe. I would say Calypso is still an appropriate name though considering it's etymologically based on the verb meaning "to deceive" or "to hide") This wouldn't be her real name, or her "true" name given to her by Eve, but I can't remember what either of those might have been if I had come up with them before.
2) Calypso is one of the most powerful mages among the Milovassals, almost on par with Catherine, but she's differentiated by her willingness to indulge in less moral activities for the sake of making herself stronger. Almost none of the Milovassals liked Calypso for this reason, but they have no choice but to let her continue as Eve had given her permission to work with the very worst of the "initiates" they receive.
3) Calypso's coloring is basically meant to be a "shadow" Milotic in the same fashion as Shadow Lugia in Gale of Darkness. I'm thinking that this would be something she had from birth, presaging her dark powers, rather than the result of her own corruption.
4) Calypso originally was an orphan, hounded by others because of her unusual appearance and innate magical powers, and she was taken in by Eve to be another apprentice. It was at this time that Eve was beginning to degenerate, and as a result Calypso was quickly tainted by the dark arts as she studied them more.
5) Above all there's a strong rivalry between Catherine, Eve's original apprentice, and Calypso because of this, as at this same time Catherine was growing disillusioned and mistrusting of her master.
6) Calypso is extremely domineering and it isn't uncommon for her experiments to become subjected to her sexual urges, but she secretly harbors a desire to have that be turned around on her by someone proving to be stronger than her.
7) I don't know how much I want to say to avoid spoilers, but there's meant to be more development for Calypso in the backstory leading up to New Non because she sympathizes with the plight Non's going through.
8) I've really been neglecting to do much of anything with Calypso since Mermaid Cove, which is unfortunate since she's supposed to be really important. If you've been wanting to see more of her I'd suggest going over to Norris' page, he's been nice enough to draw her a lot.
If anyone else asks for any characters I may just answer them in the comments instead of making whole new journals for them.
