Well you guys wanted Gaomon with the Data Squad Digivice..

I've been thinking about it, and I sort of decided to save the won Digimon and Digivice for another time, perhaps a future chapter. You see, the story I'm planning, Digimon Journeys, is a crossover of seasons 1, 2(02), and 3(Tamers), because my previous story, Digimon: New Destiny, is a crossover of the first three seasons, and Digimon Journeys is a continuation story.
Vincent Christopher (NOT Kuroikage) is the protagonist currently, and in Digimon: New Destiny, BlackWarGreymon(From season 2), along with other villains amd new villains were revived..also the Royal Knights were involved. BlackWarGreymon and Vincent became friends at the last moment a new Digimon Level beyond Mega Level was introduced, the Master Level (Also called Super Ultimate).
BlackWarGreymon's data was reconfigured to being a real Digimon instead of an artificial one, and Vincent nearly got killed trying to stop Daemon, causing BlackWarGreymon to go berserk, Digivolving to ChaosWarGreymon. Then a Biomerge happened, Vincent and BlackWarGreymon became Omnimon Zwart, or as I named him, ZwartOmnimon. After a some emotional and dark moments throughout the story, BlackWarGreymon had his data reconfigured into real Digimon Data due to the power of the Crest of Hope.

So back to the original subject, Vincent and BlackWarGreymon, currently BlackAgumon, are partners now, Vincent having the D-arc Digivice. Digimon Journeys is about the kid having various adventures to fight any threats the Legendary Darkness sends at him, but mostly, Vincent needs to learn how to fight back, because he is still a meek little boy, and has a lot to learn about what it means to be a DigiDestined.
Along the way, he will encounter and befriend, or maybe have adventures with other certain people with Digimon partners, which the 02 kids refer to as "International DigiDestined".
The reason I decided to scrap the idea of a Digimon with a partner that has a D-Burst, and save it for a future chapter, is because I see that it would be weird if I put in a Digivice from Season 5 into a story that's a Adventure/02/Tamers crossover.
Though, I'm willing to be a bit open minded, any sort of ideas that could actually make a Season 5 thing work in a story that includes Tai, Matt, Sora, Davis, Ken, Yolei, Takato, Rika, Henry, and their DigiDestined/Digimon gang?
I'm all ears, so feel free to shoot whatever you got..or any other ideas you got..I guess.

Well, to bring all the people from the different seasons together would mean they had different ages as well, because the seasons plays on different timelines, if I am right. This could be something to think about.
Maybe the government makes a contract with the DigiKnights to help them to fight against evil Digimon which appear in the real world and also in the DigiWorld, letting the worlds collide or something like that and bring the evil masterminds back on the master level you mentioned... just as brainstorm idea.
Digimon Journeys will focus in Vincent and BlackAgumon with the possibilities of more Legendary DigiDestined.
And your Journey idea sounds also pretty nice. I look forward to it, especially because (Black)Agumon is anyways my favourite.
