That sounds like a few days ago where I did an hour of work on the temporary art file and then went to cut and paste my progress in the temporary file over my "last good file" and when I accidentally told it "no I don't want to overwrite"...losing the progress made... Forever. :C

I'd had the sketch done already at least *thank goodness I don't have to redo that* but I'd gotten all the inks done and I was almost done with flatcolors and it just closed on me with no warning.

Yup... Same kinda thing. Sketch was fine, lost an hour of inking.
Inking is the worst part... Sketching goes by so fast...

I know that feeling. that why it became a habit to always save your work. even if you are done. YOu need to save it before you put your pen down.

Oof. Been there, done that. There was a time when my streaming software ocasionally caused my photoshop to crash, and if I forgot to save, I would lose everything. Lost a lot of good sketches that way.
