I generally prefer submission forms, makes it easier for me to organize things when commissioning. I'm all for it!

Awesome! The reason I'm bring it up is because stuff gets cluttered and lost in notes here on FA or through email. I'm considering making a unified commission form for when my regular ones open back up.

I say whatever helps the artist on organizing things without being illusive on the prices should be okay. Just so long as they know exactly what they are getting, those submission forms, IMO, are usually what I look for in commissioning an artist. ^w^

I hope I made mine clear, a little feedback has told me people have thought it was fairly clear. The prices are marked with "per character" and such and I put some image examples in so people can see exactly what I'm mentioning

And indeed it is. To be honest, this kind of form is something that is worth looking into when commissioning someone.

Though if I may, there text seems rather small in some areas within the webpage (IE: The prices on what you charge). Also within the TOS you have "Click to edit this text... " down at the very bottom of the page.

I always like talking with the artists I'm comissioning because they are people too ^_^
But I'm also fine with forms. Honestly its easier that way because then you can ask for all the info and ref you need in one fell swoop. Sometimes as a comissioner I don't know what I might need to specify :P

I understand people really like to talk to the artists, I really do. I just found that sometimes I spent a lot of time just trying to drag out details from someone, and I think a form is a good way to get at least most of the details together and if I need something clarified, when I send the note, I can clarify it

I understand, which is why I get the draw to migrate over to a form instead. When you need to crank these out one after the other it just makes more sense and like you said, you can note for clarification if needed.

Well, they way I'm doing it is that the form is more of a request. I still end up noting a person, asking questions about the commission if things aren't clarified properly and make sure they understand the price. On top of that, I'm still giving progress sketches, so it's not that I'm completely removing the contact, I'm just streaming lining the request, so there are 15 notes where the information is spread out and something gets lost.

Yeah, the rules for the Iron artist are strict when it comes to character limit(Edit- when I make a commission rule like that, it's stuck that way). These aren't supposed to be huge commissions. And the form also helps make people think about all the details they want before they hand it to me. And the form just contains all the information I would already ask for immediately and demand to know before I ever got started. And form or not, if I don't want to do a commission, I'll deny/won't take it. Talking directly to me, at least, won't change that.

Also- I could easily finished 2-3 Iron Artist commissions a day if I didn't account for time for sketch approval. I'm a fairly fast worker, I get hyper focused on artwork and will just go to town. I do this just shy of full time, so a lot of time is for art.
