To start with, I'm not going to trivialize recent news with the site, nor do I want to overdo it, so that really isn't the point of this journal. It happened, how the situation alters the path going forward will be something to keep updated on. Potentially, that could be the end of the story.
But it isn't. It created a fallout and understandably (I think) some people are going to feel concerned about site security, no matter what caused it. What bothers me about this isn't that people are leaving FA, but the replies from their watchers (or in some cases...those who simply felt the need to comment on journals of artists who plan to leave).
You have NO RIGHT to belittle someone's choice to move to a new website or to belittle them for feeling that they need to make that choice. Saying things like "You'll be back" is disrespectful, and down right rude. Saying that kind of thing doesn't accomplish anything, so what is the point? You're definitely not making them want to stay. As watchers, we are supposed to SUPPORT the artists that we love to see work from, not act like an ass to them because they want to change platforms. If people feel it is better to move to a new site, DON"T GET BUTTHURT!
In the end, you watch the artist for their work. If they leave, make an account and watch them there as well, or shut up and move along. And if you're whining about it on the page of someone you haven't even commissioned/don't want to commission or maybe that you don't even watch....shame on you.

If I say something, it's something like 'goodbye, have a nice life.
Of course if they go somewhere I like, I just follow them there.
