Okay so I found out what makes it easy to write (boring legal disclaimer about how results may vary from wolf to wolf, or wolf to insert-individual-here). Apparently just playing quiet instrumental music on my computer stimulates creativity because it blocks out external noise and occupies some other part of my brain which doesnt contribute to writing. Damn it I wish I found this out sooner.
