Sometimes, for story purposes, it can be vital. All other times it should be avoided and those who advocate it be removed from the general populous. Too many have been hurt by it to have it used in jest.

What bugs me is people who say it IRL for things that aren't rape.

E.g. "Stare Rape" "Feelings Rape" "Space Rape" "Yawn Rape".

What's your opinion on the Psuedo-Rape kink?
You know, when two consenting partners pretend that the scenario is rape?
I think it's okay because consent on both sides is involved, but I was just wondering how you (and possibly others) feel about it?

Secondly, I don't really like the word either or how loosely it's used either.
I think controversial jokes are fine if used as in inside joke, but if you just openly blurt out rape jokes or whatever, then I think you're a bit of a shitty person.

The word rape me more than I thought it would, to be honest.
Probably because of the amount of fucking people I've met on here who note me/add me on Skype/Steam and try to force me into "Being their slut" or whatever, even if I say no.
And most of the people who try to do that, tend to do stuff without warrant or consent, so technically speaking it's like...RP rape? I dunno.

Yeah and usually those type of characters have no personality, back ground story or personality beyond that which is fine for single sex rp's but will never hold for anything long term because they're just blank characters. If they have a f-list you can at least pick some of the personality or the lack off.

I agree, some people don't even think about it when they use the word so casually. The only (small) excuse one may have, is if English isn't their native language but only a slight excuse

Even if one doesnt use english as a primary language ( Im english and i still fail at it XD) They should know that word is offensive with little knowledge of english. But like i always say people suck, mostly XD

I think it's an easy word to trivialise, thanks to how commonly used it's become, especially on the internet. Heck, people coined the term 'frape' for people having others post random shit to their facebook when left unattended, and it very much trivialises the emotional and psychological impact of the act of any kind of nonconsent.
I think it's something that people don't really understand unless they've been through a situation where they've well and truly lost control of their autonomy in some way. It's hard to explain exactly how it feels, and people will respond differently to it. Ultimately, it's up to people to be aware that it's a sensitive word to use, and outside of writing/RP for the purposes of exploring that, or dom/sub play where either partner shows a pre-agreed amount of resistance, having a safeword for actual desire to stop, I don't think it's a good word to just bandy about.

Mhm exactly though if the safe word is ignorred then it becomes truly rape. It has become too commonly used as you phrased without thinking what it really entails. I had someone tell me that she was going to rape me with consent and I was like "there is no such thing as consentual rape" and just assumed she meant rough sex.

Rape, much like child molestation, is one of the most ungodly and human things out there. what bothers me the most is that there are people who fantasize about rape as if they fucking love it. Look, far be it from me to tell people how to livs their lives and what they get off too; but rape is fucking disgusting and horrible, even if they use it for pleasure
