Project CATHARSIS, also known as 2, has been deployed. To begin with, as you know, my hobby has always been kept secret from everyone I know. Partly because it would be pointlessly exhibitionistic to let anyone know, partly because my body of work consists solely of pornography. Over time, though, I've become more and more invested in it. As my powers have grown, so has my ambition. The scope has become such that it presents a problem for the future. What if the thing I REALLY want to do doesn't align with the existing plans?
However, the perfect opportunity arose some time back. My mother, who seems to put everything computer-related under a single set of skills, casually asked me to do a fantasy-themed image, by means of image manipulation or some such... One of many random requests that won't be followed up on. I took it seriously, however, even if I didn't say really anything back then. It took some time to get started because my absence during the tip crippled my ability to work on the usual pics (let's call it project TEMPLE, or 1). I didn't want to divide my attention because everyone here would surely be upset if I took even longer than lately. Eventually I began in earnest and for this year's duration I have conducted research and development on CATHARSIS alongside TEMPLE. Many things had to be learned and new techniques invented. Around last April it really took off with the background. This all is the delaying that I've mentioned sometimes. The last series of additions were completed recently and the project was in standby mode for a few days, because of an unforeseen delay.
Today it has been deployed and I finally, casually showed the result to her and confided about my hobby... of course leaving out the fact that it's all pornography. It would be too much to bear. There's only one small addition that she wants, something I didn't remember if it was supposed to be there or not. Then, it would be truly released. There might be a follow-up to this too. I don't know yet.
It's nothing I can show here though. It's absolutely vital that my identity remains unknown. Deviants should remain in their holes. Yet I know that I can do more and more with the skill I've developed so far... that was the problem. I supposedly practiced drawing every day yet had nothing to show for it.
Evacuation
As mentioned before, some compelling reasons have arisen to consider moving operations to another site. What I've been long disappointed in is that for all my dreams this place is just a den of thieves for all manner of greedy curs peddling their banal garbage. In addition, yesterday PIXIV requested I censor the latest image. I'll humor them if it's an isolated case, but if they want everyone to censor everything new, or worse, EVERYTHING, then I'll stop using it too. The important factors: no censorship, tolerable userbase, good servers and site structure, some nice features are a bonus. If anybody has any ideas I'll hear them to compare with my own.
This kind of journal is uncharacteristic after Action M20 but the event's importance is monumental, the result of the work of months if not years, the negative effects of which have crippled my operations for the better part of this year. Returning to form shortly.

Oh thats what they want censored? Thats normal I believe, correct me if I'm wrong.
Even ignoring how ridiculous and sanctimonious the "censoring" is, it's more pointless bells and whistles that have to be repeated with every single upload. I want to keep my logistics as smooth as possible.
Moreover the localization is very half-assed, and it's obvious they only opened to westerners to get a larger audience that might subscribe to the premium service. Large, random portions are still in Japanese, outrageous character limits like the comment limitation of 140 (also deletes the comment you're writing without warning, for your information), being effectively crippleware through the premium function. Adding to that I still feel that the likes of me aren't welcome there.
