I just do tasteful nudity. I might even hide the genitalia by a sheer curtain draping over the character, etc, to add mystery. Add the emotion in the eyes to captivate the viewer and make them interested in the character. A little mystery is fun. :) Then, I'll do full tasteful nudes with a lot of emotion in it. :)

Yeah, facial expression is of course important. It helps people connect to the character a whole lot more. And in adult situations, it can help a lot.

From what I've seen, generally people shop for their harder fetishes. However, the harder the fetish, the fewer people possess it. Thus, tasteful nudes are beautiful but they don't often hit anyone's upper end fetishes, but they appeal to everyone. On the other hand, interracial midget clown porn will really really appeal to the three people who have the fetish. While, of the two ends, the tasteful nude will draw a slightly higher price tag, the best area is probably in the middle. Tasteful, well draw, hardcore 'vanilla' porn is probably the best money maker, as evidenced by the fact that this is one of the most common pieces you'll see in most adult sections. However, there is also a lot more competition in this realm, so your art will draw a lower price than it would in a perfect environment.

In my opinion then, it is better to range out a little harder. Fewer artists do fetish work, which means that, for the smaller population that wants it, there is higher demand. If you can stand to do it, light fetish work of any common fetish will probably pull in the most money for the effort.

Just a simple question, why would you want such an awesome, talented, artist to fall in with the rest of the crowd out there simply because a certain thing sells better than others. It seems like such a waste of talent when artist do this. Well I have seen alot of what blotch does and it seems to be more than just fill in. I tend to judge what a person does by the majority of their art. I tend to find yiffy of any kind demeaning and degrading on any level. It is a way to devalue the wonderful act that sex was meant to be. It was meant to be the truest expression of love between two people the bound them together. It was meant to be pure and loving. Yiff just takes that and makes it ugly and unholy. It takes it to the most animalistic level. We are after all suppose to be on a higher plane than animals. To answer your question I have been to a con. I do not seek to be with a baby fur. I do not wish to engage in random yiff. I seek to be with a partner who I connect on a deeper level with and entend to spend the rest of my life with before I give into my animal passions. Yes I have the urges like everyone else but I choose not to act on them.

I really do not like a picture, because it shows sex -.- - I prefer them to be artistically awesome, too, so a very well done picture will always be preferred by me, no matter what it shows. And no, I'm not here for the porn, I personally prefer romantic, cuddly scenes, but I don't see what's wrong with depicted other things, too.

I think Sekhmet's drawings and paintings are awesome, no matter what they show, I'll always watch her for her skills. And if she is making art to make money, well - she can choose for herself how to do best, and sex does sell in some ways, so it's okay to be suggested, it's HER decision if she follows a suggestion or not. No artist is forced to draw porn, if they do it, they do it for their own reasons. It's up to me if I draw it or not, I draw naughty things to enjoy others, but they could not make me to even if they tied me up to my desk.
Magazines sell better with a nude woman on it, so why do you think furries had to be different from the remaining world? In the end we're just the same, all over the world, sex is a basic need, that's why it's so commonly spread - and why it "sells" - same goes for food and drinks ;)

Well, depicting sex for me does not necessarily mean to lose respect for each other or for members of the opposite sex. I never want to experience plain disrespectfulness in intimate situations, nonono, I highly dislike that and it does not mean "sex", that becomes an abusive situation from my point of view.

i love Spiritcreations ideas, just kind of give people the notion of what can take place or what might take place. I get tires of all the just over blown sex that is out there. one thing i have always thought would be coll is tasteful herm shots. Not he overly endowed herms that ya see all the time. I think keeping things relatively tame is best, as tons of people will buy hardcore prints, but only a few of them would put that sort of thing on their walls.

I've always enjoyed art that gets the mind and imagination running, regardless of whether it's adult or not. Art that tells a story, or art that highlights a particular thought, feeling, or concept. This is something that I remember seeing you do quite well before, such as "Deflowering", "Obey Your Master", and "Deadly Bait", amongst others. It doesn't even need to be that explicit: "Deflowering" is a perfect example of that.

Another suggestion is to make adult art that is actually playful. I think too often adult art is just plain too serious. A piece where you have a couple in coitus but they are both smiling and laughing like they are they are having fun would be quite refreshing.

All that I can think of are costume themes, like French maid, Stone Age theme, the 18th century, medival times, some 1930-present Night-on-the-town at a nightclub scene. Perhaps I suggest a couple of examples:

A musclebound wolf looking in sly intrest with a female wolf. Both are purely naked. The setting the wolves dwell is the interior of a Neolithic Stone Age house.

A couple of cats at a ball in some rich guy's mansion. The male cat is wearing a tuxedo with his girlfriend in a low-cut dress that shows some cleavage. they are dancing to some big jazz band music. Then when no one is watching the she-cat would seductively yank her nipples a bit to show her nipples to the male cat as when they huddle close together face to face.

How about a cowgirl chipmunk who is wearing a cowboy hat, Daisy Duke shorts, but is topless?

Personally, I find 'intimate' sexual pieces that emphasise the emotion over the physical more enjoyable. Sex is awesome but sex with someone you truely love is even more enjoyable. Creating art that expresses the emotional bond between two lovers engaged in sex is far more challenging and rewarding and something I can enjoy on an emotional level rather then just with my dick.

I would go with more tasteful nudes with a sexy twist. It all depends on how big the piece is really. There are people that will hang hardcore sexual art on their walls but many won't..just because not all the visitors to their home are furries and it would make for awkward conversation! If they are smaller erotica pieces, I think they would sell, but if you plan to do anything larger, I would go with something more tame. Doesn't mean it can't be sexy. Your pinup art is always seductive, without need of being overtly sexualized.
