I would stay on FA, but expand the userbase on other websites, probably like Deviant Art or pixiv.

The problem with going to places like FN is that it's never going to beat FA for pure user count which means your particular niche will be even smaller than it is here. Plus the UI is kinda trash. For however shit FA might be, it's still highly functional. FN seems to be excessively feature laden, but lacking in simple stuff like a compact gallery to view thumbnails rather than view 50 billion images in a timeline.

I'll keep both, as you said, it's the safest way
